Pikmin 2 Cheats

On the Hostile Territory stage in the multiplayer mode, if you walk into a bomb-rock, you'll pick it up.

Throw with the "A" button.
Drop with the "B" button.

You can also pick up bomb-rocks that are being set off. Just remember to get far away from it before it blows up in your face.

Get a group of mostly Red Pikmin. Listen to them closely to hear them hum the theme song from Luigi's Mansion.

Unlock Challenge Mode:
To unlock the Challenge mode unearth the key item that is found on the fifth
floor of the Summer stage's first dungeon.
Unlock Treasure Completion Sequence:
To unlock the treasure completion sequence collect all the pieces and rescue Looie.
Unlock Shyacho:
To unlock Shyacho collect 10,000 Pocos to save Hokotate Intergalactic
Delivery then choose continue.
Unlock Cinemas and Credits:
To unlock the cinemas and credits collect 10,000 pocos.

In sublevel 4 there are tons of emperor blublax right? Well when you get to this sublevel, get all your pikmin and put them all in one spot where they will be safe from the emperors. There should be an emperor next to the ship when you enter the level. If you can, lure him into the main room with all the BOMBROCKS. (They will be the most useful object on this sublevel) Okay you know the emperors use their tongues to slurp up pikmin, well they will do the same to the bombrocks. There are two ways you can use the bombrocks, 1) have the bulblax slurp them up ( this way is best, when the bombs explode, the bulblax takes reasonable damage, you don't have to lift a finger, and the bulblax is stunned be the blast in side him) 2) the other ting to do is harder yet does more damage I think, What you do is punch a bombrock with olimar (or the pres.) and lure the emperors over to the rock when it explodes, doing this causes more damage if I remember correctly, but doesn't stun the bulbus bulblax. This way is also more hazerdous to you because you could get hit by the blast if your not careful.

Go in the pikopedia and go to the votile dwevil (the dwevil with the bomb rock) then throw a pik pik carott at it. if you do it corectly the bomb rock will glow and in a few seconds the votile dwevil will blow up. just for fun.

If you have reds,atack all the items and save the Flare Cannon for last.If you have all yellows,atack all the items and save the Shock Absorber for last.If you have all blues,
atack allthe items and save the Monster Pump for last.If you have all whites,atack all
the items and save the Comody Bomb for last.If you have all purples then you'll prababley
won't win, but I beat him with only 57 yellow pikmin(mostly leaves)and 2 spicy sprays and
only lost 5 pikmin,(both sprays used)so you may be able to win.Anyway,you can make the fight a whole lot easier tis way.Hope this helped!

The 'X' button allows you to read Olimar's notes, which provide basic information about a creature, including a Latin translation of their name and a family.
After rescuing Louie from the Dream Den, the 'Y' button lets you view Louie's notes on a creature, which are mostly notes on how to cook or sell a creature.
The 'A' button allows you to zoom in and take a closer look at a creature.

When zoomed in...
The 'A' button allows you to throw Pik-Pik carrots to see the reactions of a creature.
The 'Z' button douses a creature with Ultra-Bitter Spray.
The 'C' stick allows you to view the creature from different angles.

-Treasure Hoard-
The 'X' button let's you see Olimar's view on an item.
When you complete a series of treasures, the 'Y' button shows you a sales pitch of your selected item.

Get 10,000 pocos

Collect 10,000 pocos to save Hokotate Intergalactic Delivery, then choose to continue.

To key to unlocking Pikmin 2's Challenge Mode(for one or two players) lies in the game's third zone -- the lake area. Once you have unlocked it, grab a group of yellow and red Pikmin as well as a handful of white Pikmin (to dig up hidden treasures along the way). No blue Pikmin needed. Fight the electric bugs and fire
emitters with the matching Pikmin and make your way to basement level 5. Fight the mechanical spider with a small group of yellow Pikmin: throw them at the spider's body, then call them back to you and move them out of the way when the spider is stomping its feet. When you have beaten the spider, a key (literally) appears. Have the Pikmin bring it back and exit the level by jumping into the geyser. The Challenge Mode will now be available for selection from the main menu.

Use yellow pikmin. They are the ONLY ones that don't get killed by electricity. You should destroy the Water attack thing on Titan Dweevil first, for it has a very wide attack range, then the electricity, then poison, and finally, fire. Once you've destroyed the electricity attack, feel free to use any other color pikmin, but yellows fly the highest, therefore making Titan Dweevil easier to hit. I REALLY hope I helped any of you having trouble with Titan Dweevil.

Well, I'm not gonna tell you what this scene is, but... If you get a pink/purple flower on every challenge mode level, you unlock a scene, telling you the truth about why you're going everywhere to repay Hocotate Freight's debt.

On the Treasure Salvage screen (the screen that lists the treasures you collected), if you don't exit the screen and wait for about 4 minutes, a 19-note melody, which goes by the name of "Totaka's Song", will play. This was placed in Pikmin 2 by the game's Composer, Kazumi Totaka, who is known for placing the special music piece in many of the games he has composed for, such as Animal Crossing: City Folk (Wii) and Yoshi's Story (N64). This melody has been placed in 9 games (and is used twice in one of them), if not more. Interestingly, Kazumi Totaka is also the voice actor for the Pikmin.
