first you've got to go to agate village and meet your partners grand parents. then beat the part in the relic forest. then go back to your partners granparents house. the granny will look for the small tablet. just do some stuff for a while(like talk to the neighbors). then go back and she should have it for you. then your pda thing will ring saying there is a commotion at mt. battle then go there.
