How do you use 2nd fire stone?

Now, this may seem like a weird question, BUT I'M NOT JOKING! I got the fire stone in the S.S. Libra, but when i tried to use it on my Vulpix and it asked me if I wanted Vulpix to hold it, so I pressed "yes", but then it said that Vulpix is now holding the item. What gives? How do I get it to use the fire stone? I decided to wait and level up my Vulpix and see if it would evolve, but nooo! I also tried to give it to him during a pokemon battle and I took it back and gave it to him again (hoping it was a glitch). In other words... I'VE TRIED EVERYTHING! Please help me (^:>

Unregistered 0	0 2 fire stone's If you want 2 powerfull fire pokiemon u have to go to the Gateport and go in the part shop and get the fire stone and not use on eevee and then in like the middle of the game u will get a Growlith and a vulpix and then u will have 2 fire ston's from the S.S larbra and then use the 2 fire ston's on vulpix and Growlith and finly u have 2 very powerful pokiemon Posted: jul 30, 2009 11:46 pm Best answer
