i complete the game on easy and hard mode without any saves, and somehow i'm not getting mercenary mode. i look at the other websites and they say complete the game once without any saves then save next game, then load the saved game. how do i save the next game?

I got the four solutions for the water sample but when I put the code in. It don't work so I need someone to show or explain it better to that code.
