okay I have beat the game twice but that was like three years ago anyone remember how to get the blowpipes?

how can i pass the part where i get locked up and have to shoot squares on the walls(colored squares)with the blow pipe and save a lady that turns out to be a monster.

I got done watching an old commercial for sphinx.In it it showed sphinx flying in diffrent parts of the game with wings on his back.I've copleted the game 2 times and no wings! did i miss something or did i just buy the wrong version of the game?(i got game cube)
