Once you beat Raditz and have found King Kai's plent, catch Bubbles and hit Gregory. Afterwards, King Tai should teach the Kamehameha attack.

Go to Freisa's ship after defeating the Ginyu squad. There are soldiers around it - wipe them them out. Now take one or two steps away but don't actually head into the ship. Head back to where the soldiers were and they should be there ready to surrender XP again.

You need to press R, A, B for a "certain kill" shot or your "Special" However, all you need to do is hold A, press and hold B, then tap R. Timing is critical. This works for any type of special move.

With Goku level 1, when your power is 100%, press L + R. Also, when your power is 100%, be at the very top of the battle screen and press A + B + R. Goku will perform Spirit Bomb or Genki Dama.

With Goku levels 2 and 3, when your power is 100%, you must be at the very top of the battle screen and press A + B + R. Goku will perform a Kamehameha Wave with an Instant Transmission. Try doing this; when your power is 100%, be at the very top of the battle screen and press A + B + R simultaneously. This can be done with other characters besides Goku.

Certain characters, such as Goku, have special power-ups. You can try this out in training mode. Your Spirit gauge must be at 100% to use Goku's or another character's power-up. Then press L + R. Goku will be blinking red. He is using his Kaio Ken (which is his power-up). There are other characters that have power-ups. Also, different levels make a difference. If you are testing out Goku's Kaio Ken, then first try his level 1 form.

Note: Be careful when using these power-ups. As you use it, your life slowly drains away, giving you a very strong disadvantage. You will not die when you use the power-ups; it will leave you some life, but not much. If you get hit, you will die.

Before you get Goku, go to the northern mountains. Find the barrier that Goku is supposed to break. There should be a dinosaur behind it. Hit it through the fence. You will gain a lot more if you are under level 30.

If you are finding it difficult to level up your characters, the best place to train them would be the "ninja castle" where you fought General Tao while searching for the Dragonballs. Keep fighting the ninjas and they will give you a reasonable amount of experience points.

To level up easily, go to the Snow Mountains. In the upper left corner will be a black mark. When you travel to it, it appears that you cannot get in, but the wall looks slightly cracked. Punch it and there will be a dinosaur. Kill it, get the capsule, and use it. Leave, kill the monsters outside, then go back in and repeat as many times as desired.

During the game, your journal will get updated to go train with Master Roshi. You can learn one move with Piccolo, Gohan, Vegeta and Trunks. One person will learn one move with Master Roshi. To get an easier victory over someone, first immediately when the match starts, do your super attack. Then, charge up to 100%. Let your opponent charge to 50% or 100%. Let your opponent do his super attack and immediately when the blast comes out, quick dodge it by pressing the D-pad twice. Immediately when you dodge it, do your super attack. Your opponent may still be blasting when you blast. Therefore he will not move. Note: You are better off doing this if your opponent is in a corner.

Go to the challenge mode and select the Saiyans team as your opponent. Note: You must complete the other teams before you can do this. The best characters to defeat the Saiyan team with is level 3 Gohan (you must have enough DBZ points to buy him), then level 1 Piccolo. The highest number of DBZ points you can get is 4.
