Somebody help me !

in da Great Gabomba statue in Kibombo - after the Akafubu ceremony succeed -
Jenna's explaining to Akafubu how's the statue working by showing him the channels of Psynergy. Jenna says : "Here,look...it runs all the way over there!"
n then when i press the A button,there's a hand icon appear..
after that,whatever button you press,the game's just stuck.
is it juz me or did the game really stuck and i have to return it to the game store and get a new one?
or there's a way u could do to prevent the stuck?
the store gave me a week warranty n i still have 4 days left
pleaz help me!! tell me if u think the game's broke
