Save Failed
OK, so I got Harvest Moon: FoMT about 5 years ago and it worked fine until about a year ago, but now it won't let me save and says "Save failed" and deleted all of my files.
This is NOT a bootleg like everyone says, if it were then it never would've worked to begin with.
Please help! T_T

it's a technical issue
unfortunately, you can't do much for it.
every cartrige contains whats called a ROM "Read Only memory". this means it can only
read or "PLAY" the game, not write or "SAVE" it. but there is another chip in the cart
called a MODULE. when you save your game, you are actually saving thousands of numerical
values to this module. when loaded, the module plugs in these values to create an exact
replica of where you were when you saved, and continue playing.
over time, a module will conduct static electricity from the plastic in the cart,
rendering it useless.
in short, it's done for, sorry ):

Awe, man.
You mean there's absolutely NO way to fix it? No way to de-static it? And does that mean
that ALL of my games will do this eventually T_T?

good news...
Since You own the game legally, it is possable to play it on a computer emulator. not too
recently some people came out with visual boy advance, a computer program that allows you
to play GBA games on your computer. you can even download the roms themselves legally IF
AND ONLY IF you own the real, un-bootlegged copy in your home, otherwise, its illegal. the
best part is, they will not be static over a long period of time.
just google "visual boy advance download" to get it. good luck.
PS: to keep other games from befalling the same fate, keep them in a cool spot and off the
rug or anything else that conducts static electricity.

Cool
That worked real nice. Thanks!
Hey, this is completely unrelated, but I've been looking for a good game and I was
wondering if you knew of any turn-based, strategy games that are good? I played Fire
Emblem and I love it, so I wanted to get something a little similar. Also I LOVE deep
story-line. I'll play through a game just to watch the cut-scenes and learn the story ^_^.
Oh, and I already know about Final Fantasy.
I would appreciate any input!
Oh, and I would like it for either the Gamecube or the Xbox 360, though PS2 or Wii would
also be OK.
