On Fall 17 Duke (the wine man) will ask you to help harvest grapes. He says that you may
bring a friend. If you do not bring Cliff, he will leave the game permanently, due to lack
of money.

Hint: Cliff: Marriage:
In order to get Cliff to marry you soon, you should give him one thing a day during the
spring of the first year. Gather the two grapes outside and give them to him everyday, as
well as parts of any crop you harvest. When fall arrives, give him three apples everyday
and bring him with you when Duke asks you for help. During the winter, just give him some
eggs and some milk everyday then repeat when spring comes along again.

The following event will prevent you from marrying Cliff. In Year 4 when you want Cliff to
like you, when you go into the wine cellar ,a intermission sequence happens between Ann,
Cliff, and Duke. They will have a conversation, then Ann will walk out mad. A few mi***e
afterwards, if you talk to Cliff, you might not see a heart on his chest. This only
happens if you invited Cliff to grape picking in Year 1.

Use the following trick to marry Cliff, in a year. In Spring 2, sell the colored weeds
that are near the cave (on the hill). Then, go near Gotz's house. Collect the ones from
there and put them in your shipping bin. Next, go back to Gotz's and get the two yellow
flowers. Run all the way to the church and give them to him after 10 a.m. After, two days
of selling the weeds and giving Cliff the flowers, you should have enough money to buy a
chicken. Run to the poultry farm and buy one. Name it whatever desired. Make sure you have
built a fence for it using stones. Buy about 20 pieces of chicken feed in case of rainy
days. Go back to your farm. Go into the chicken coop. Pick up your chicken and run out the
door. Then, place your chicken in the fence. A heart should be above her head. The next
day, repeat this by giving Cliff the flowers and selling the weeds. However, instead of
just the flowers, also give Cliff the egg. In Late Spring, if you keep repeating this
method it should turn purple. Doing the same thing in Summer, his heart should turn blue
in mid Summer.
