Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Cheats

Dunno if this is a glitch or if it's a little fun thing the designers intentionally stuck in the game, but this will work with any of the three shields. Make sure you have the Ether Medallion and enough MP to use it. Go to the Dark World, to the area left of the Pyramid. You'll find a house there; the guy inside will sell shields, so if your Mirror shield gets eaten you can come here and buy a new one. You'll see Like-Likes outside the house. Normally you wanna avoid these things, but here's the catch: Equip Ether and let one snag you. It'll steal your shield and try to flee. As soon as it lets you go, cast Ether. The enemies around you, if you left any standing, will all freeze, including the thief that stole your shield. Simply kill the culprit with a good thwack from the Hammer tool, and voila! your shield is back. But look at its blue coloration...it's been frozen! So long as you're on the same screen you got your shield in, it'll stay blue.

Okay ignore 25% of the hint above. Here's the complete locations:

1) Death Mountain
2) Desert of Mystery
3) Northeast part of Hyrule, below Death Mountan, in the Dark World. There's a circle of rocks in the water. Throw something, such as a rock or that sign.

ok get the duck and the flute thing going and go to location 8 (a.k.a lake hyla or whatever) and go up one screen and kill the red thing and go down to the stone dock and call the duck and when it appears in the screen hold R (if you have the pegasus boots) then press B to cancel then go back up and here you have a choice either avoid the bush and walk you will be much faster as long as your on that screen or you can run into that bush in front of you and you will start bouncing back and forth endlessly it wont stop bouncing and if you look at it it looks like hes flying oh I almost forgot you can also pick up a bush and you will be normal speed but his feet will move as if you were still super speedy its funny try it LOL!!!!!!

ok first go to the place where the flute boy is then go down and right till you reach a lone tree almost on the next screen the ram it from the side you will see a green bomb comes out well leave the screen then come back use the ether medallion next to the tree and ram it you will see that blinds maiden head falls out and blows up just like a bomb now heres one that i think is cool mainly cuz i did a search and im the first to discover it when you beat dungeon 6 in darkworld go to the bomb shop and buy a super bomb and then go back to light world and back to the tree while you have the super bomb use the ether medallion again and ram it (then walk over the bomb to pick it up if you want it) and a super bomb will fall out instead of a head cool huh (if you find another secret bomb add a comment

I always just get the treasure in the palaces in the Dark World and find the secrets you must have that item to unlock. That's how I defeated Arrghus and Blind the Theif so easily, because I've got the Lv. 3 sword, instead of the Master(Lv. 2)Sword.

another way you can beat the first boss is if you run out of arrows you can also use the boomerang

1.Lv.1 swordMaster sword. How to upgrade:get all three pendants and pull it out in the lost woods

2.Master Sword Tempered sword. How to upgrade:After beating the fourth dungeon rescue the creature from the dark world and bring it to the light world bring him to the blacksmiths house.They will offer to temper your sword for ten rupees.

3.Tempered sword golden sword. How to upgrade:after beating misery mire go to Link's house in the Dark World buy a super bomb
and take it to the Pyramid of Power and blow open a huge door. Enter and a fairy asks you to throw two items into the pond.Choose the bow(or the boomerang) and the tempered sword to recieve the Golden Sword and the Bow and Silver Arrows.

Note#1:if you put in the boomerang you will get the magical boomerang but I recommend the silver arrows

Note #2:DO NOT USE THE PEGASUS SHOES TO RUN TO THE PYRAMID! The bomb will explode,but also try to make it in time to the pyramid beacause you are timed if you run out of time it will explode.

Link can pick up and throw many items, such as jars, bombs and stones. Press the R Button once to pick up an item, then press it again to throw. Thrown items deal out heavy damage.
