Mega Man Zero Review :

The centennial Reploid

by pokemonismylife Aug 30, 2010

When I first saw an ad for this game in a Game Informer when I was 7, I knew this was going to be great. I wasn't wrong. Centered around Megaman X's partner, Zero, this game really did a good job of capturing Zero's manner. Cool, inward, yet helpful and kind. The story takes place 100 years after the last game with X. Zero has been put in a hibernating state until he is found by a human scientist named Ciel. Ciel is part of a resistance towards Neo Arcadia, the home of the human race and lead by Zero's old partner, X. X is using and killing thousands of Reploids- Human like robots created for the humans comfort, and for some, battle-to ease the lives of the humans. Ciel needs Zero to go on missions to help stop Neo Arcadia. Zero accepts, and, with the help of Ciel, and a mysterious cyber elf, Zero slowly starts to fight Neo Arcadia and X. The left and right scroll style of background works pretty well in this game. The drawings are clean, detailed, and colorful. The whole of the scenes you see flow very well.

  CheatsGuru rating and opinion
10Story line
The story is very captivating, and, like a great book, once you start you can never put it down until you finish.
They all flow pretty well. Not much left to say, but they did actually pull the left to right scrool screen very well.
This is not the best aspect of the game. While the music is catchy, erie, and ominous when it needs to be(though not all at once) the sound overall is just not that spectacular
The gameplay is very fun. What I like is that there are so many things to unlock and get, but you can still play through the entire game without getting one. I played through the first time and didn't complete one xtra mission besides the ones I had to. Zero's a great character to be.
10Lasting Appeal
There's something about the game that tells you to beat it 50 times over. Mayvbe it's the boss fights, maybe it's all the stuff you get. I personally don't have a clue. I just know You will want to play it again.
(Out of 10)
