1. Updates
V1.0 Jan 23- This is the first version and the start of the guide. I have
everything of mine in here and no other things yet. This will be the first
version that is/might be posted on GameFAQs.com
2. Legal Stuff
Okay, now I am usually pretty laid back but I do know all my rights and a mean
Social Studies teacher who is almost obsessed with them. You are allowed to
freely use this BUT you may only use this for personal uses. You may NOT copy
any parts of this or use any of my strategies without consulting me first and
getting my permission. If you do there will be a penalty from me/the law.
3.Introductary
I have played Metroid Fusion twice now and beaten it with ease. I have used the
FAQs on this site for a while and thought “Hmm… Maybe it would be fun.” And so I
wrote an FAQ AS I played the game and I was at the bosses. So if you have any
questions or alternate strategies just send them to me at
flamingspirits@hotmail.com. Without further ado, here’s the FAQ.
4. The Bosses
4.1- X-Rhino (Main Deck)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (15), E-Tanks (1)
Reward: Morph Ball & Bombs
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This is the very first boss, easy right? Jump when it shoots the
blue shockwave. Flames are hard to dodge. Run over to a side and grab on to a
bar. Then when it rolls towards you jumps off the bar or else the vibration will
knock you off and you will take damage. Blast it with missiles and it will
pretty quickly die and turn into a core. Just shoot the Core five times with
missiles and it will die. If you run out just shoot it with some beams and some
yellow and green X’s will come out. Just jump into the giant X-parasite to claim
your reward, the Morph Ball.
4.2- Chozo Statue (SRX)

Pre-requs: Missiles (5), E-Tank (1-2)
Reward: Charge Beam
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Just shoot the orb with a beam shot and all you have to do is
fight a Core. But this isn’t just any Core, this is a special one called a Beam
Core. It is normally invincible unless you blast in before it blasts you. Every
few seconds an opening will appear and try to shoot you with a beam (hint hint:
it’s the beam that you are going to receive after the fight.) That’s when you
shoot a missile in the opening. Then hurry up and get out of the way because it
will idmeadality counter. Takes about 5 shots to get your charge beam. And
upgrade your normal beam as well.
4.3- Jumper (TRO)

Pre-requs: Missiles (15) E-Tanks (2)
Reward: Morph Ball Jump and High Jump

This is a.. err…strange boss. It jumps up and down trying to
land on you. Its hollow so it will suck you up into it and you will have to wait
as it drains your energy. It tries to jump over you right? Well, shoot a missile
up into in and get out of the way before it lands on you. It should take about
ten shots up its tube like body to kill it. Charged Beams will work if you run
out of missiles. After that is just your average Core. You should know how to
handle them by now. Just collect your prize and get out of there!
4.4- Serris (AQA)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (10), E-Tank (3-4)
Reward: Speed Boost
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Use the ceiling to avoid Serris when it speed across the ground
and duck for cover when it speeds across the ceiling. What ever you do, DO NOT
FALL IN/UNDER WATER! You’re on your own if you do.
It will take about 5 headshots but believe me, you will miss! Charged beams do
work against Serris but Missiles are better. After him and the Core you will get
your well-earned Speed Boost.
4.5- Security Bot Phase 1 (PYR)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (11-12) E-Tank (4)
Reward: Your life.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Hang on to the ceiling and get directly above him to shoot down
missiles on its middle. It’s only weak point. Once it shoots a bomb out line
yourself directly up with it to avoid getting hit by the pillar flames. Hurry
and go to the left-most side of the room. This way, the robot will keep ramming
against the wall making timing your shots, your only enemy. Eventually it will
flash white and run away. And there we have it. You’ve won.
4.6- Giant X (NOC)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (5), E-Tanks (5)
Reward: Varia Suit.
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This boss is HUGE! Not to mention fast. This makes it really
hard to dodge. And yet, to make things worse, the only effective weapon against
it is your charged beam. Do your best to dodge it while charging your beam. This
sucker takes about 6 blasts to kill it. You can tell that your beams are hurting
it because it will change from yellow to red. After the Giant comes a little
Core. You know the drill. Then get your Varia Suit and watch the colors change!
4.7- Scientist (PYR)

Pre-requs: Missiles (5), E-Tanks (2), 1:00:00 remaining
Reward: Wide Beam
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Shoot a beam or two at the scientist and it will turn into a
Beam Core. (Hmm… Kinda like the Chozo Statue) Remember, Shot it when it opens
and get out of the way because it counter fires. Quickly absorb it and hit the
control panel. Easy!!
4.8- Spider Bot (Main Deck/Reactor Core)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (30), E-Tanks (As Many As Possible!!!)
Reward: Space Jump
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This boss is possibly one of the most difficult ones in the
game! The only easy part is seeing the spider and dodging the flames. Avoid
being picked up by it. It does a #### load of damage. It’s easier to dodge it
when you are in Morph Ball mode. Once the Pest stops to shoot flames at you
that’s your chance to strike! Shoot a few missiles into its mouth and go back
into the morph ball. It will gradually turn blue over time. About 15 shots later
its head will bounce around and drop chunks of metal below it. No more Morph
Ball! Just shoot missiles at is mouth like before. The head will turn Red. Then,
5 shots later and its finally just a little Core. What more do I have to say? I
just hope you have some battery left after this because learning the Space Jump
might take a while.
4.9- Death Flower (TRO)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (55), E-Tanks (6)
Reward: Plasma Beam
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Talk about a lot of things at once! Darn!!  First of all avoid
getting sucked into the little flowers! If you do, jump out. When you jump out
you need to hold your button or else your trapped. Blast it with Missiles; just
go over to the left most corner of the high platform and crouch. That way, you
can avoid all the pollen and just blast away. Pollen balls only do 22 damage,
but they are really annoying, best to avoid them. If you must, you can get rid
of the pollen by shooting it with your beam. Around 26 shots later the pollen on
the corners will stop coming down. Now only the pink flowers can shoot pollen.
No need to worry, your up too high to be hit. Also, the Death Flower will shoot
plasma beams. It will give a few seconds warning whether its going to shoot a
beam out of its upper or lower half. Upper half beams you crouch to avoid, and
blast it while doing so, and Lower half beams, you jump to avoid. (Duh!) Around
24 shots later it will turn into a beam core. Remember, hit and run. Now go
absorb you prize! The Plasma Beam!
4.10- Nightmare (ARC)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (45), E-Tanks (7)
Reward: Gravity Suit
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This boss has three phases. The first phase is simple. Charge up
your new Plasma Beam and shoot it at the Nightmares cannon. Jump over the HIS
beam shots. A couple of shots later the gravity will change. You will move like
you are underwater. Learn the pattern of his shots and dodge them. Keep shooting
the changed beams at his cannon. The last phase gravity returns to normal. His
mask is off and the ugly is out. Jump on the ladder and line your self up with
its green ugly face. When I say 3, fire at will. 1… 2… Oh I can’t wait, BLAST
THE CRAP OUT OF HIM!!! To avoid it when it flies around use the Space Jump. His
face will gradually melt away and turn into a regular Core. Watch your color
change again as you put on the Gravity Suit!
4.11- Security Bot Phase 2 (NOC)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (16), E-Tanks (8)
Reward: Wave Beam
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
First thing you do is bomb the ceiling. Doing so will open up a
ladder you can hang onto. Hang onto the ladder. When the Security Bot fires the
four missiles, as long as your as far right as you can go on the ladder, you can
just shoot them with a beam. Like before, shoot missiles down on its head. The
glass will gradually crack and then break. After 11 shots it will go to the
center and break down. Space jump over there and it will turn into a beam core,
lucky for you, the water isn’t electrified anymore. After that you can finally
shoot through walls.
4.12- X-Riley (SRX)

Pre-requs: Missiles (100+), E-Tanks (10)
Reward: Screw Attack
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Riley is a pain. But it is a traditional Metroid boss so we must
forgive the Nintendo Company. (Lol!) This one takes somewhere around 100 missile
hits. I’m sorry I don’t have an exact number for you but I usually do. You can
get an exact number then that will be great. Riley will basically just fly
around, shoot fireballs at you, and swing its tail at you. When it picks you up
with its talons it will do a ton of damage to you so you might as well take
advantage of it. You’re in point-blank range for Missile blasting. Go for it,
your missile launcher is semi-automatic you know. Just blast, blast, blast and
kill the core to receive the mighty Screw Attack!
4.13 SA-X (Main Deck/Operations Deck)
-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Pre-requs: Missiles (5), E-Tanks (10)
Reward: Access to: The Final Battle
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This is it! It stole your suit and your gear and now, its
personal! This is easy for all you speedy dodgers and harder for all you
klutzes. What ever you do you must always stay in an open area! Missiles will
only freeze the SA-X for a few seconds so the only thing that works is a charged
beam. Shoot it and jump behind it. Be fast on your feet because it shoots darn
fast!! Also, shooting it in the air is useless. After several beam shots the
SA-X will turn into a huge beast, it tries to stomp on you but that’s easy to
dodge. Three more charged shots and it turns into a beam core. This is the
fastest Beam Core to react so be fast. After defeating it the X-Parasite will
flee. (Really sucks!) So go on over and hit the control panel and get the hell
outta there!!!!!!
4.14- THE OMEGA METROID (Main Deck/Docking Bay)

Pre-requs: Missiles (-), E-Tanks (5-20 depending on skill) Ice Beam
Reward: Well, what do you think stupid!?
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
This is the final boss of the game, and your screwed because you
can’t hurt it without the ice beam. Let it hit you and it will cut your energy
down to 01. Then after some cinema you will be fully recovered and have…(drum
roll) the ICE BEAM!! Just go and shot it like the X-Parasite did. Avoid getting
hit by those huge claws or you can say good-bye to a whole E-Tank. And when it
gets close to you DO NOT jump or else it will cost you 300 damage. Just Morph
Ball in between that killer hand and its legs if you need to dodge it. And your
timed too so hurry! It will gradually turn blue and die. After words… Well, I
won’t spoil it for you so. CONGRADULATIONS!! YOU HAVE JUST BEATEN METROID
FUSION!!! WOO HOO! PARTY AT YOUR HOUSE!!!!
