Well, ITS TRUE!!!
(for the jappanese version)
Here are the steps

#1: DO NOT GO ON THE SS ANNE TO GET CUT!!! (trade with a freind to get a pokemon holding it)
Continue with the game BUT DONT GO ON SS ANNE!!!

#2: once you get far enough and get surf. go back to Vermillion City and go where the ss anne is, you will find a opening on one of the sides. surf on it, you will find a island with a truck!!!
#3 (only follow if you have jappanese version) Use Strength on each block near the truck, sooner or later it Might flip over and....You will Battle THE INFAMUS DRUNKEN DRIVER POKEMON...MEW!!!

Fly to viridian city and talk to the guy who "just had his coffee", have him teach you how to catch pokemon by answering no. Then fly to fuchsia city and surf to the edge of sea foam islands. Swim along the very edge up and down until tour find a pokemon that looks like a computer chip, make sure you have room for one more pokemon in your party, catch it,dont try to weaken it cause it only has one hp so just catch it. Use a rare candy to get it up one level, then it will evolve into a kanga khan level 100,get it up a level and it will drop to 75, then it will stop and you can raise it higher.

if you r somewhere in the game , u fly to viridian city , then ask the old man who teaches how to catch pokemon ( bef0re that, put rare candy/ies in the 6th row of your bag. ) now, fly to cinnabar island, then surf to the east , then voila ! missingno appeared from your screen ( in battle )and u battle it (dont catch it because your game will corrupt. ) it sometimes appear in lvl 0, 80 ,160 or even 256! sometimes , you will also see mewtwo & clefable in lvl 146 , snorlax in lvl 150, electrode & chansey in lvl 165.

Hello Pokemon Blue secret seekers! So I'm board but that doesn’t stop me from letting you in on a secret. Out of all the secrets I know, you will like this one which can be used on all GBC games! Whilst turning on your Game Boy Advanced, a large screen-taking blue logo will come up reading: 'GAME BOY” with Nintendo at the bottom. Before your game lodes, press the up key/button, down key/button, left key/button or right key/button. As you may notice, your background color will change. *Note: remember that you can press what you want but you have to be quick because if you press the left button (your left) then think for around four seconds, the game will be already loading. When you turn the power off, the color will change back to normal.* Below is a list of all the colors and which key/button you can press:

• Right button for Green

• Left button for light sea sapphire

• Up button for rose pink

• Down button for peach

As well as pressing up and down, you can press B or A whilst pressing the other buttons. Here is a list for that:

• Right button and B for Black (where you look invisible!)

• Left button and b for Grey

• Up button and B for Brown

• Down button and B for Peachy yellow

With each colored back ground, there will be a different color logo. When playing your game, the color will affect the game in no way but the colors will be different. When playing Pokemon Blue, your trainer will be a different color. Once you have played the game and turned it off, then it wont be the same color but it can be repeated as many times as you like. make sure you have surf and fly and have been to cinnabar.put the item you want in 6th place.then fly to viridian and talk to the old man that was collapsed at the start of the game awnser no,then after he catches a weedle,fly to cinnabar.go to the right until you see the water.then surf up and down beside the island until you run into the glitch pokemon "missingo".even know its a level 136 you can deafeat it easily(or sometimes a level 0 when its name is messed up).after you beat him go back on land and check your chsen item.it should have some crazy picture then a number. note:dont catch missingo or your game will be deleted.

diffrent colors
When starting your gameboy, as the words "Game Boy" flash across the screen, you can change the colors of your game, but only temporarily. It won't stay like that forever. Anyway, here are the codes

Down= Pastel colors.
Down and B= Dark Autumn colors.
Down and A= More Autumny colors.
Right= Christmas colors.
Right and B= What's light will be dark, what's dark will be light. This is my personal fav.
Right and A= Green.
Up= Chocolaty colors.
Up and B= Really dark chocolaty colors<.BR> Up and A= Another shade of chocolate.
Left= I've got the bluuueees.
Left and B= Black and white, like you're playing Game Boy 1 or Game Boy pocket.
Left and A= A Cadet Blue

ok basicly missingo is your self....yup...
when you go to the old man talk to him, your player data goes to the place where you find missingo.....cause they had to put it SOMEWHERE!!! so it went there...even if you say no, it stays with you...but if you say yes..once the old man is done, your player data returns....so basicly when you catch it..youl get 2 of you...so the game will be like....

how to catch the pokemon " A ".

A is a Glitch Pokémon (not to be confused with a, which is found in a similar way to A). The Glitch Pokémon A can be found in the Pokémon Red and Blue Versions doing Method #3 of the Mew glitch using a Pokémon with a special stat of 191

how to catch the pokemon " h POKé ".

h POKé is a Glitch Pokémon in the Red and Blue versions that will appear if Method #3 of the Mew Glitch is used and a Pokémon with a special stat of 195 is used. h POKé is a safe Glitch Pokémon to use, but it is very difficult to catch and train because usually when h POKé is caught, its Pokédex data (which consists of random sounds and visual glitches) will lock up the game.

Just go into a place that there are pokemon that you ether want or need. Then walk out and fly to Cinabar. Then surf along the boarder and shure enough, the pokemon that were in that place are in the water now. This is the best when you want pokemon in the forbidin cave. Cheat1--99 ITEMS--Talk to the guy that has had his coffee and shows you how to catch weedle,say you are not in a hurry,right after that,jump on a pokemon and FLY to cinnibar island....then,before you do anything,walk right and keep going till you reach the water edge...SWIM on a pokemon up and down the coast....fight missingno DO NOT CATCH HIM and whatever item is in the 6th place of your item list will get you 99 of that item...a good thing is to do this with a golden nugget and sell them for 999999 dollars or yen or whatever...
Cheat2--STAND ON A TREE--this isnt really a cheat but something cool.... a shrub or tree or whatever that blocks your path and CUT it down...stand in the spot where it was and save your game....turn the power off...then on and continue your game....YOU WILL BE STANDING ON THE TREE!!!!
Cheat3--FREE POTION WHEN YOU START--When you start a new game,in the room go to the computer and access the items,you will find a potion in there!!!!!!!!
Cheat4--SAFARI POKEMON IN THE WATER--go to the safari zone and then swim up and down the cinnibar coast....safari pokemon will be there...
Cheat5--GUY ON ROOF--go to cinnibar island and make sure you do not have the key that unlocks the building....SWIM down the coast and then back up....come up to right in front of the building and walk to the door....there will be a guy on the roof!!!

Hello! Today, Pokemon Blue fans, I'm going to give you a list of codes! From 001 Bulbasaur to 034 Nidoking to items to special effects.. Now get writing! However there are a few rules before you write in a code. First after you pick your Pokemon (starter, doesn't mater which), save the game and turn your GBC/GBA (GameBoyColor/GameBoyAdvanced) off. When you turn the console back on, fight Gary for THE FIRST TIME. This means in your previous game you should have no or over one badge and MUST of beat Gary. If you HAVE NOT beat Gary, you may want to beat him as this is part of the rules. Next add a code from the list (I will repeat this on the other two cheat guides from Flaffy11) then save the game. Repeat this as many times as you want WITHOUT beating Gary the second time round. Finding the Pokemon is simple, it could appear in the grass or on foot-path. However the Pokemon you encounter maybe messed up like the MissingNo. though after caught the picture will turn normal. For items, you can find them in any store (E.G Master balls cost $0.00 always). As for special effects, they will happen automaticly (E.G Unlimited health will randomly appear on all Pokemon). So the codes are listed below...Good luck! Yes, believe it or not, it can be done without a GameShark or other cheating device.
Here's what you'll need to do:

* Restart your game and play until you get HM02 Fly from the house west of Celadon
City.
* DO NOT fight the following trainers:
o The Youngster with a Slowpoke (Level 17) on the road to Bill's house (Route
25). He is the fourth trainer after you cross Nugget Bridge, standing directly above a
female trainer and facing north.
o The Gambler with two Poliwags and a Poliwhirl (all Level 22) between Lavender
Town and Saffron City (Route 8). He is standing just east of the entrance to Saffron
City, facing north toward the door of the Underground Path.
* Carefully follow the series of steps illustrated below.


Make sure you have a Pokémon that knows Fly. On Route 8, stand in front of the door of
the Underground Path. Save your game, since saving after this point will disrupt the
procedure.
Walk down one step and immediately press Start. If you succeed, the menu will pop up
before the Gambler "sees" you. Go to the Pokémon list and fly to Cerulean City.
The Gambler will see you just before you fly away.
Your Start button will no longer function. Go north across Nugget Bridge and head east
until you find the trainer in this picture (he's the Youngster described above).
If you walk right up to the Youngster, the game will lock up, so you'll have to let him
see you and walk up to you. Defeat his Slowpoke (afterwards, your Start button will work
again), then fly to Lavender Town.
Head west into Route 8.
As soon as you enter the narrow path, the menu will pop up by itself. Press B to exit...
...and look who it is! Mew will be at Level 7 and its only attack will be Pound.
Pokéball, go!

Once you've caught Mew, you can save your game without any ill-effects.

There are two alternative ways to enter Route 8 and trigger Mew after beating the
Youngster. If you have access to Saffron City, you can fly there and go through the
eastern city gate. Also, you can fly to Celadon City, head east to Route 7, enter the
Underground Path, and emerge back in front of the Gambler.

Finally, the Route 8 Gambler isn't the only trainer that can initiate the trick. The
Super Nerd just west of him can also do it, as can the second Fisherman you meet when
heading south from Lavender on Route 12. There are numerous others; basically, any
trainer who is scrolled onto the screen by the same step that puts you in their vision

Missingno is a pokemon found with the old man glitch. It has the highest atk base in the whole game but it has the lowest Def too! Some players dont catch this pokemon because it may erase your game data (especially if its lvl 0)

2. Surf on the east part of the water and you should find MissingNo

PkMnaPkMnfPkMnk
PkMnaPkMnfPkMnk is a usless pokemon without a sprite and freezes the game when the player uses it in battle! When you battle it, it would use the sprite of a random pokemon. It has the highest HP in the game. Its stats get pretty high!

Do the mew glitch and you might encounter one!

First dont battle the kid with the slowpoke on route 24 or 25.Also you must have a pokemon that knows teleport.Then you will see a bug catcher on the side of route 24,go right in front of him,then quickly press the start butten then use teleport then go battle the kid with the slowpoke.After your done fighting him use teleport.Then go up the nugget bridge and the start menu should apear, exit out of the start menu and mew will apear!

firstly have a pokemon which has fly and a pokemon with surf. then once you have the master ball put it in the 6th slot of ur items. then fly to viridian city. then save the game. talk to old man who has had his coffee, when he asks if he is in an hurry say no and watch him catch a weedle. then fly to cinnabar and swim up an down the east coat (on the right). eventually you will get into a battle with #m# (missingo) which looks like a computer chip DONT CATCH IT WILL START TO DELETE THINGS OFF UR GAME or with mew two if you do encounter mew two you have to turn ur game off because u cant beat it thats why u have to save ur game before. if u do encounter missingo jst run then check ur items u should have 9 and a wierd symbol this shows has worked. u can also do it with other items like moonstone or gold nugget and sell them for money to become rich!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thank you and goodbye! any questions message me u may not getc an answer for a while

Abra Mew Trick

This is probably the easiest of the tricks. First you must have a Abra that
knows Teleport. Then walk to the top of the screen and walk down and
immediately press START then Teleport to the Pokemon Centre in Cerulean City.
Now battle the YOUNGSTER with a Lv17 Slowpoke then talk to the person who
says 'I saw your feet in the grass' then the menu should pop up, then press B
and a Wild Mew will appear.

don't know if this is a hint/cheat whatever but i think it's interesting to know.

Bklue/red/ yellow was made 97-99 ish yes?

I'm guessing Pokemon was meant to be set in the future, when Spaceships/Shuttles will be defunct and put in musuems which is all fine and good.

however, in Pewter City's museum, there is a Spaceship or shuttle (I can never remember which one). Space Shuttle Columbia to be exact. the same one that crashed on re-entry in 2003.

unsurprisingly this has been omitted from the FireRed/LeafGreen remakes.

PS: before anyone tries to bite my head off (this has happened elsewhere) I know they couldnt have predicted this several years before hand, i just think it's a neat bit of trivia :)

I used to make rare candys and do them to my pokemon its flowing the fun of the game.let me give you an hint too. after x 99 use the item but if you want to do the cheat again there must be at least x 1 of your item.if you dont do (i did it once)you must find another of that item.Good luck!

Ok go to Viridian. Then talk to the old guy. Say no then say yes. then fly to cinnibar then surf on the east side coast then see missing no. then if you want something funny go by the door of thegym or get out of the water ordianerily then sell them but ONE! Then buy TONS of stuff. then do it again. and again. Wow you have 999999999$ cool!

2 find Zapdos at the Power Plant
3 save the game
4 talk to it(battle)
5 weaken it too yellow or red(put to sleep or paralze)
6 throw an ultraball at it until caught

if u failed restart the game
