its a 1 of 8000 something chance to find a shiny pokemon,but if u have a staryu that has an illuminate ability,your shiny pokemon encounter will go up to about 50 of 8000 chance of finding a shiny.i got a shiny gloom on my first look in the grass doing this.

after wanting a shiny eevee ( female eevee has been busy making eggs) stil didint find 1... then one day felt like fighting in the trainers tower or watevr... picked double battle and my first match this little girl had a shiny eevee, i was like fuk this game and never played it again lol but got bored... so rite now im still tryin to get 1...
