u beat the game (or trade a lv 100 or any level from firered or leafgreen) and u trade when u catch uar first pokemon and there u have it u haved a strong pokemon but i warn u it won't listen to u until u get a badge for the level to listen to u!!!

ok my recommendations for your starter pokemon is bulbasaur.
ok train it at the first two gyms and everywhere else it can beat pokemon easily and never run from a battle..
