In the game you get to pick a pokemon but which ones the best

Bulbasaur -grass type- ok bulbasaur learns vinewhip at level 9 so he will be
great against
the first two gym leaders on the third he`ll do o.k (you
can catch a
meowth and teach it the tm.dig or sandshrew)on the fourth
gymleader
will take some time (you can use a pigdey)the fifth he
will do fine
(watch out for hypno's drowse's and venomoth's)the sixth
he will do
bad (you can teach him theif or pursuit to help or catch
a gastly)
the seventh he will do horrible but hey your on an island
fish for
water pokemon!And fianally the eighth he will do great
but some
trainers dont have ground pokemon so watch out! please
