go to islandgo to island 1 and go in the first cave their is a guy in their who will theach it to you |

ROCK SMASHgo to island 1. then go west and surf over the water. you'll have to battle a couple of trainers (almost all of them have fighting pokemon). then go into the cave called mt. ember spa and talk to the old man who runs the place. he'll give u rock smash. |
