This covers all of Pallet Town and half of Viridian City 

PALLET TOWN
First go to your computer and go to "item storage" and then "withdraw
item". There will be a potion. Withdraw it and go downstairs.Talk yo your mon and go
outside.And go to route 1, but Professor Oak runs to stop you from going to rout 1. And go
with him to his pokemon lab. Now its time to pick your first pokemon, you can pick
BULBASAUR the gras type
CHARMANDER the fire pokemon
SQUIRTLE the water pokemon
Pick one and your rival pickes the pokemon that is strong agenst it in battle.Walk down
and your rival wants to battle, so kill his pokemon ( it is easy because neither pokemon
has a type advantage over the other) and leave the lab.Now that you have a pokemon go to
route 1 and go to Viridian City.
VIRIDIAN CITY
Go to the Pokemon Center and heal your pokemon and save. Then go to the Pokemart and
someone will give you a package to give to Professor Oak. So you know what that means go
to Pallet Town again and go to Oak's lab to give him the package. And you get your Pokedex
and 5 pokeballs. Then go back to Viridian City and go to the Pokemon Center to heal and
save. Go to the route to the left of town to battle your rival again but he caught 1 or 2
more pokemon. Then after you win go back to Viridian City.
