Walkthrough - PMD:RRT storyline (post story not included)First, you will take the personality test and decide who your partner is. Your character can be Bulbasaur (Docile boy, Calm girl) Charmander (Hardy boy, Brave girl) Chikorita (Docile girl) Cubone (Lonely boy, Impish girl) Cyndaquil (Timid boy) Eevee (Naive girl) Machop (Brave boy) Meowth (Quirky boy) Mudkip (Calm boy, Timid girl) Pikachu (DUH!) (Impish boy, Hardy girl) Psyduck (Relaxed boy, Lonely girl) Skitty (Hasty girl) Squirtle (Jolly boy, Relaxed girl) Torchic (Hasty boy, Sassy girl) Totodile (Naive boy, Jolly girl) Treecko (Sassy boy, Quirky girl) Your partner can be any of the starters excluding Cubone, Eevee, Machop, Meowth, Psyduck, Skitty, and any Pokemon that is your type. Psyduck is included as a Water-Type, so no Totodile, Squirtle, or Mudkip for you unfortunate people who wound up being a miserable old Psyduck... Then you will hear the voice of your partner, and choose your name. Butterfree will rush up and start shouting that her Caterpie fell into a hole and can't get up. You go into Tiny Woods to rescue him. He is on B4F. Then you will get taken to your base, and form a rescue team. You wake up the next morning and save your game. Then you wake up again to find your partner outside, sound asleep. (S)he will wake up. You will get a Rescue Team Starter Kit and a letter from Magnemite, sending you to Thunderwave Cave. Two Magnemite need you to save two other Magnemite who got pulled inside. They are on B6F. Then you will go to sleep. You wake up, but have no rescue missions. So you head to Pokemon Square. You go to the Pelipper Post Office and get requests from the Bulletin Board. You do two rescue missions. Then you have a dream, but you are interrupted by an earthquake. A Dugtrio wakes you up. He makes you go on a rescue mission to the top of Mt. Steel to rescue Diglett. He is on 9F, but Skarmory will stop you. You have to beat him. 3-4 Gravelrocks should do it, he's not too powerful. Then you go home, and offer for Magnemite to join your rescue team, but you don't have anywhere for him to live, so he says no. You go to sleep, and wake up to go to the Wigglytuff Club to get the friend areas Wild Plains, Mist-Rise Forest, and Power Plant. Then Magnemite flies up and joins your team. He will be in Power Plant. Go to the Bulletin Board and complete five missions to get further. After three, Team Meanies will steal your mail, but Pelipper brings you more after they're gone. After five, you wake up and go outside to see your partner as usual, but Caterpie will say that his friend Metapod has gone missing. Team Meanies comes up, and says that Caterpie will join their team if they rescue him first. Go to the Sinister Woods. Metapod will be on 13F, but Team Meanies will battle you first. They are Gengar, Ekans, and Medicham (yes, I KNOW the guide says Arbok, but it's really Ekans). Beat them and rescue Metapod. You will go to sleep. Wake up and see your partner. Jumpluff (the one you saw asking for help after Mt. Steel) will ask you for help. You will then go to Silent Chasm. On B10F, Jumpluff is there, and so is Shiftry. But Zapdos will show up and kidnap Shiftry, though you lead Jumpluff to safety. When you get home, Team ACT (Alakazam, Charizard, Tyranitar) will talk to you, and you go to Mt. Thunder the next day. On the floor after 9F, there is a place to save your game and/or leave, and to rest. You go up, and there are three more floors. On 3P, Zapdos will come down and battle you. Defeat him, and Team ACT will FINALLY show up, to see that you have defeated Zapdos without their assistance. WHAT A SURPRISE =P. Zapdos will give Shiftry back, and fly away. Then you admit that you are human, and agree to go to Great Canyon to console Xatu. On 13F, Xatu awaits. Talk to him. Gengar will be spying on you, though. Hmm... Anyway, Gengar comes back the next day, and tells Lombre, Snubbull, and Bellsprout that a human got turned into a Pokemon, and is now here. Go to Whiscash, he will tell you the Ninetales Legend. You will not be able to go on any missions after he tells you, though. When you wake up, your partner will tell you that there's a commotion in Pokemon Square, and to check it out. Gengar will be telling everyone that he saw Xatu speaking with a human that is now a Pokemon, and that the world is coming to an end. Then he will point you out, and you will run away. Go to sleep after your talk with Team ACT, and wake up again. You can still go shopping and train in Makuhita Dojo without waking anyone up, despite your partner's warnings. You cannot bring any other team members with you. Then you will go, and run away from everyone else. Diglett, Pelipper, Jumpluff, Jumpluff, Caterpie, and Metapod will see you off. Eventually, you'll reach Lapis Cave. At B15F, you'll escape, for a moment, but they will catch up and force you to run towards Mt. Blaze *shudders*. No one but Team ACT will follow you. Go to Mt. Blaze, Rock Path just brings you back around. After 12F, there's another area like in Mt. Thunder. Go up three floors again from there, and you will meet Moltres. You will have to battle him, and he's really hard. After beating him after battling and losing a million times, you will escape and go through more places, reaching Frosty Forest after a while. After 9F, there's another area to rest up and save, etc. Go up five more floors, and (after battling and apparantly winning against two legendaries) guess who it is? Articuno. Not as hard as Moltres (except for Powder Snow ;_;), just put him to sleep/get him paralyzed/infatuate him, etc. He should be taken down after a fair few powerful Fire, Rock, or Electric attacks, preferably Rock. The way I beat him as Pikachu was using Shock Wave until he reached me, then using Attract, then Thunder Wave, then Shock Wave until one wore off, making Squirtle use Water Gun the whole time. That was really easy. After beating Articuno, Absol will join your team at Lv. 20. You will go to Mt. Freeze to speak with Ninetales. How come they didn't make Mt. Freeze Articuno's domain? I mean, Mt. Thunder, Mt. Blaze, and FROSTY FOREST? Just WRONG. Anyway, after 15F, there's another area. Go up five more floors, and meet Ninetales. Team ACT will "battle" you, but Ninetales will stop you and tell everyone you aren't the human in the Ninetales Legend, but it is true. You will go back home, and make Gengar run for his life. MUAHAHAHA! Do three missions, and Wynaut and Wobbuffet will be standing by the Bulletin Board. Talk to them, and go to Uproar Forest. I suggest collecting two Chesnuts while there. On B10F, there are three Mankey. They're further than Articuno, Zapdos, and Moltres, yet they're weaker than the first boss ever (A.K.A Skarmory) =P. Wynaut and Wobbuffet will give you a pealed Chesnut, and the Mankey will agree to start making a new base if you give it to them. After a while, they get tired, but feed them a Chesnut to get them working again. Do this once more, and your base is finished. It will be a model of you (to see, visit www.pokemonmysterydungeon.com and go to one of the pages that tells you the starters) Do six missions, and Team ACT will still not have returned from the Magma Cavern to confront Groudon. You will volunteer to go. After B23F, there's a resting area. One more floor to go. After 1P, you will go to a room where Tyranitar and Charizard are lying on the floor, defeated by Groudon. They tell you Alakazam is still fighting, and you automatically go to the final floor. O_O;;. Not good. Alakazam asks what you're doing, then there's a flash of light, and he's gone. Groudon will attack you. He's pretty hard. Defeat him to go back to Pokemon Square, where everyone praises you for your bravery. Then Xatu speaks to you through telepaty, and tells you a star is falling towards the world, and that only Rayquaza can destroy it, but he lives high in the sky, where no one has ever gone. You will volunteer to go, and Xatu, Alakazam, and a Ghost-Type Pokemon (Hm... Wonder who that is? I mean, there's a TON of main-character Ghost Pokemon -_-) will create the Teleport Gem. You will go to Sky Tower. After the 25F, there's a resting area. You're gonna need it. I mean it. Climb nine more floors, and you will meet Rayquaza. He's very hard, and has about a bazillion damage and a jillion HP on him. O_O;;. I have a few words that I say to Rayquaza when I battle him, and here are a few of them: ****! ****! ***! ****! If you acctually manage to defeat him, you will convince him to use Hyper Beam (don't worry, he doesn't know it in the battle o_O;;) to destroy the star, but in the process, you and your partner are knocked out. You will awake to Gengar dragging you along, to the dark world (whatever that is) Then he will say "To think that you...were human...Who would've guessed that?" But he has lost his way, and decides to leave you where you are. You are awoken at the top of Great Canyon, being congratulated and worshipped by your friends. Then there's a funny scene where Blastoise threatens to use Hydro Pump to celebrate, and points his cannons at Lombre, who freaks out and tries to run away, but everyone holds him in place. Then you will begin to glow, and everyone asks you what's happening, and you tell them that you came and turned into a Pokemon because the world was in trouble, and you had to save it, and that now that you've saved it, you have to go. The glow increases, and your partner pleads you not to go, and you say that you have to, and you finally are surrounded by light. Everyone starts to cry, and your partner asks why you didn't tell him/her. You tell them that you were afraid that if you did, they would want you more than the world, and they refused to save it. Then you are lifted up into the sky. The credits roll, and you hear voices while floating through space. They tell you that perhaps, if you want it strong enough, you can be reunited. You wish that you could be together, and you change direction, and go back to the Pokemon world. Your partner is in front of your new base, crying, along with all your other friends. You start reappearing, and one of them (can't remember which) notices, and notifies everyone. Your partner is the last to turn around, and by then you're already complete again. You start approaching each other, and then run towards each other, and that's the whole story. |
