the best starting poke'mon is mudkip or treeco becaues you have a better chance of beating
the first gym leader.

Mudkip is an all roung good starter, and like Treecko, it will be easy to defeat the first
gym leader.
I've found that Torchic is better later on in the game and grows to be quite strong.

I prefer Torchic.
But for Roxanne you'll have to get a wingull or something.

Torchic is very handy...and strong in the later
part of the game..
while treecko is weak but I use him for catching...
And mudkip is strong in stats..
oh and for Uh huh....Torchic could have a double kick for the 1st badge...

for the first gym leader torchic all the way!!!! just raise it untill it learns double
kick and then you can beat the whole first gym leader. plus torchics stats are good 2 so i
vote torchic

I forgot 'bout that!!
But then again if it's already level 16 you'll wipe out every pokemon you try to catch.
And the Combusken will be a much higher level than your others.

It evolves into blaziken,who knows sky-uppercut,fire-punch, blaze-kick, and
overheat.That's HOT!!!

But when i started a new game i chose Treecko and i think that Torchic is a better starter
pokémon because of all the good moves it learsn at later stages.

chose treecko because he learns leaf blade and thats good againts team aqua

The best of all is mudkip. If you have nintendo GameCube and special cable to connect
nintendo with game boy you can choose one, catch nincada and trade it.Put nincada evolve
and trade ninjask or shedinja for you starter, and the other one for first pokemon. start
new game.choose other starter. That way you can have all!

i have started loads of new games and i always find it harder with torchic and treeko than
with mudkip. Mudkip all the way! Plus its a really cute pokemon as well! I love mudkip
