Walkthrough - FAQ/WalkthroughYu-Gi-Oh! Ultimate Masters World Champion Tournament 2006 Guide (Version 0.55) By B.J. - GuideGy@yahoo.com Last Updated: Jan. 6, 2006 --------------------- --Table of Contents-- --------------------- 1. Intro and Updates 2. Walkthrough A. Free Duel B. Challenge! I. Duel Puzzle II. Limited Duel III. Theme Duel IV. Survival Duel 3. Useful Information A. Bonuses B. Starter Decks C. Pack Lists D. Card List E. Opponents' Decks F. Helpful Decks 4. Closing ------------ --1. Intro-- ------------ I copied this from the GameFAQs page: This may be not be reproduced under any circumstances except for personal, private use. It may not be placed on any web site or otherwise distributed publicly without advance written permission. Use of this guide on any other web site or as a part of any public display is strictly prohibited, and a violation of copyright. Speaking of which, this guide is allowed to be at GameFAQs.com and now at SuperCheats.com, CheatCC.com, and 1UP.com as well. Also, my notes appear in square braces ([]) throughout this guide. One more thing, unless otherwise stated, cards are in order according to this scheme: Normal Monsters, Effect Monsters, Spell, Trap, Fusion, Ritual Monsters. A preliminary note --Updates-- Version 0.10 - Just started. Version 0.12 - Added 96% of Legend of B.E.W.D. pack. Version 0.13 - Added 36% of Metal Raiders pack and another starter deck. Version 0.15 - Up to 83% of Metal Raiders, another starter, and Kuriboh done. Version 0.20 - Added 91% of Pharaoh's Servant, another starter deck (one left), and Manticore of Darkness and White Magician Pikeru's decks done. Version 0.25 - Added 85% of Pharaonic Guardian and 90% of Spell Ruler. All starter decks done, another puzzle, and part of a few opp. decks. Version 0.30 - Added 85% of Labyrinth of Nightmare, 76% of Legacy of Darkness, some more opponents' decks and some more puzzles. Version 0.35 - Added 75% of Magician's Force and 66% of Dark Crisis, and more of the usual, I don't read this crap when I read a guide, so why am I bothering typing it. No one cares about this junk. Version 0.40 - More of the same. Version 0.45 - I noticed that in collecting cards and playing Free Duel I had neglected the Limited and Theme Duel sections so the bulk of this update is in there and completing pack lists. (Opp. Decks next.) Version 0.50 - I added a pretty evenly to each section, over a dozen decks, many prizes, a couple puzzles, the first dozen pack lists are now at 100%, and included some of my more useful decks at the end. Version 0.55 - All Puzzles completed, another three and a half packs worth of cards, some decks, and other stuff. Less than 600 cards to go... ------------------ --2. Walkthrough-- ------------------ --Starting a New Game-- Start a new game by entering your name (They don't have periods... If you're wondering why I point that out, check my name at the top.) and pick an icon to represent 'you.' Don't worry too much about deciding as you can change them later, kind of like the Witness Protection Program for duelists. Next select a starting deck. I'd recommend Spellcaster's Judgement as it has a lot of card's you'd love to have in real life but can't affort to buy individually on the Internet; or possibly Blazing Destruction as if you can get a boatload of monsters on the field at the same time, your opponent's Life Points are toast, HA! Honestly though, all of the starter decks are well constructed, so just pick the one that looks like it matches your playing style based on the cards it has. You start with 3000DP. These can be used to buy some packs of cards to augment your starting deck. There are 11 packs available for purchase from the beginning ranging from 150DP to 350DP per pack; but watch your butt in this game. You can't cheat the system like you usually can. When you buy a pack (or 2, 3, or even 10 at once), the game automatically saves so you can't keep buying the same pack until you get what you need like in previous games. This makes the game very annoying and very hard to write a guide for. I feel sorry for the sucker who's got that job... Not to mention that individual cards (via the password system) are insanely expensive. Hmm, 7 Spell Ruler packs for 1400 or a Skull Servant card for 1560... Anyway, you can still choose from the usual 6 languages, but if you're reading this, why would you want to change from English? When there are two options at the bottom (like when you open a pack of cards), the one on the left is what the B button does and the one on the right is what the A button does, also, when given a YES/NO choice, it defaults to YES so you can press A for YES and B for NO. While dueling, hold A to check the field when you can't act and press B to change Phases on your turn. Hold R to check a card's text when you can't select it. That's all the important controls that might not be second nature to someone who's never played before. NEW CONTROLS: Hold B and it won't ask you if you want to activate something at every opportunity. (In Nightmare Troubadour, best Yu-Gi-Oh! game ever no no matter how flawed, you could hold R but I just realized it was B yesterday.) Also, it turns out you can buy many, many, MANY packs at once, merely select the packs you want to buy, then click return (B if you were paying attention) then select packs from another set, and continue the process until you've bought a huge amount of packs; and while it is a neat find, I like to see the cards that I get and that would involve a lot of scrolling so I'll stick to 10. Anyway, on to the fun part, DUELING! I won't explain HOW to duel, 'cause if you don't know how, none of this has made any sense so you probably didn't make it this far. You can make a good deal of progress with your Starter Deck if you like, but you'll soon want to pick up a few packs to reinforce (or even completely rework) your deck. Most people who play will tell you to keep your Deck at 40 cards (sometimes OCDily so), but I prefer to stock my Deck with as many cards as the game will allow (I try to limit myself to 80-100 in duels in real life). You have a better chance of picking the card you want if there are 3 in an 80 card deck then if there's one in a 40 card deck, and you never run the chance of running out of cards (to the point where if your opponent has built their Deck around making you run out of cards, you can still use all the cards you want to draw and Special Summon from your deck that you want without worrying about running out before them). Example: You opponent uses their best 20 cards to force you to discard 50 cards from your deck and they lose 10 because of their Morphing Jars. Someone with a 40 card deck would have run out of cards 5-10 turns ago, but with an 80 card deck, you can use Pot of Greed and Graceful Charity and still have 30-35 cards in your Deck to your opponent's 10. The point is, build your deck however you want to. If you find a type of monster that works in your favor, put 'em all in. If your Deck is based around an important card, throw 3 Different Dimension Capsules in your Deck and 'Booyaka!' there it is. [Interesting fact: If two monsters with 0 ATK battle, nothing happens.] By the way, some cards feel reeeeally overused in this game. You'll come to hate Smashing Ground real quick. Just about everyone you duel has 9 or 10 of the same cards (Call of the Haunted, Pot of Greed, Mystical Space Typhoon, Heavy Storm...). So, next comes the different ways to duel in this game: ---------------- --A. FREE DUEL-- ---------------- These are good old battles. You take your deck and beat the crap out of another player. There are several levels of Free Duel with increasing difficulty. --Level 1-- Kuriboh Scapegoat Skull Servant Watapon White Magician Pikeru --Level 2-- Batteryman C - Beat all Level 1 monsters. Ojama Yellow Goblin King - Beat all Level 1 monsters 3 times. Des Frog Water Dragon - Beat all Level 1 monsters 5 times. --Level 3-- Red-Eyes Darkness Dragon - Beat all Level 2 monsters. Vampire Genesis Infernal Flame Emperor - Beat all Level 2 monsters 3 times. Oceah Dragon Lord - Neo-Daedalus Helios Duo Megiste - Beat all LV2 mnst 5x. --Level 4-- Gilford the Legend - Beat all Level 3 monsters. Dark Eradicator Warlock Guardian Exode - Beat all Level 3 monsters 3 times. Goldd, Wu-Lord of Dark World Elemental Hero Erikshieler - Beat LV3 mnst 5x. --Level 5-- Raviel, Lord of Phantasms Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV8 - B. LV4 ms. 5x. Stronghold - Achieve a 60% game completion total. Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys - Achieve a 70% game completion total. More duelists as I unlock them. They're mostly on the codes page if you really need to know. Mainly, beating lower level duelists a certain number of times and completing the game to a certain percentage (which can be found in Your Status under the Options menu). I.E. Duel, duel, and duel some more. If you've beaten everybody ten times and every challenge at least once, you'll unlock everybody. ----------------- --B. CHALLENGE!-- ----------------- Now these are fun. Duels with certain cards, with certain conditions, or with the duel almost over, all to help you hone your skills as a duelist and become the King of Games! ... Okay, not really, but they're still fun. ------------------ --I. DUEL PUZZLE-- ------------------ Yay, PUZZLES! These all require you to hop into a game at the last second and pull out a victory against seemingly overwhelming odds, but that's what Yu-Gi-Oh! games are all about isn't it. You get DP for clearing each puzzle the first time around, and I have compiled the answers here in case you can't seem to figure them out. The "harder" the puzzle, the bigger the prize. [Note: There is more than one way to win some of these Battles so I've only listed the most obvious one each; and unless specifically stated, summon everything in Attack Position. Also, whenever Mystic Wok is activated, obviously pick whichever stat is greater.] --------- --200DP-- --------- Warriors of Darkness -Activate The Cheerful Coffin and select Sillva, Beiige, and Broww -Summon Zure -Enter Battle Phase -Have Scarr attack White Magical Hat -Choose to destroy both Blue-Eyes White Dragons -Have all remaining monsters attack ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Close-Up Conjuring -Activate Summon Priest, discard Monster Reincarnation for Queen's Knight -Activate Reinforcement of the Army -Summon King's Knight and use its effect -Activate Generation Shift on Summon Priest -Activate Polymerization -Activate Premature Burial on Jack's Knight -Enter Battle Phase -Attack with Jack's Knight and Chain Alkana Knight Joker's effect -Attack with Alkana Knight Joker ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Ancient Mechanism -Activate Ancient Gear Castle -Summon Ancient Gear Soldier -Activate Ultimate Offering, by sacrifice Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon to summon Ancient Gear Beast -Activate Ultimate Offering, summon Ancient Gear Golem by activating the effect of Ancient Gear Castle -Enter Battle Phase -Attack with Ancient Gear Golem -Have all remaining monsters attack ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Open Fire! -Enter Battle Phase -Attack with Amazoness Chain Master and activate her effect -Enter Main Phase 2 -Summon Kuriboh, activate Multiply -Use Cannon Soldier's effect on all monsters (Cannon Soldier LAST!) ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Defeat The Three Phantoms -Activate Raigeki Break, discard Aitsu to destroy Sangan and Chain Michizure to destroy Hamon -Flip Summon Dimension Jar to remove 3 of your opponent's traps from play -Summon Koitsu -Activate Metamorphosis -Enter Battle Phase -Attack anyone but Raviel ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Achilles Heel -Flip Summon Magician of Faith and take back The Cheerful Coffin -Activate the Forces of Darkness -Activate Magician's Unite on Magician of Faith -Sacrafice The Unhappy Girl to summon White Horns D. -Activate White Horns D.'s effect to remove 5 spell cards from play -Activate The Cheerful Coffin on both monsters -Enter Battle Phase -Have Magician of Faith attack Elemental Hero Rampart Blaster -Have White Horns D. attack Elemental Hero Tempest -Have all remaining monsters attack ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Reinforcement -Activate Cybernetic Magician's effect twice (discard your two monsters to destroy your two Spirit Reapers) -Activate Scapegoat -Put Cybernetic Magician into Defense Position -Activate Zero Gravity -Activate Backup Soldier to take back 3 monsters -Use Cybernetic Magician's effect on 3 Scapegoat Tokens -Enter Battle Phase -Have all monsters attack --------- --400DP-- --------- Eternal Flame -Change Throwstone Unit to Attack Position -Enter Battle Phase -Have Throwstone Unit attack and activate Option Hunter -Have Ancient Gear Soldier attack -Enter Main Phase 2 -Activate Tremendous Fire and Chain Serial Spell ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Frog Family -Activate Excavation of Mage Stones, discard T.A.D.P.O.L.E. and Treeborn Frog to take back Polymerization -Sacrifice Treeborn Frog to summon Des Frog and activate its effect to summon the Des Frog in your deck -Activate Polymerization -Activate Double Attack and designate D.3.S. Congratulations, you've completed all puzzles. Go rest your brain. -------------------- --II. LIMITED DUEL-- -------------------- These duels all have certain restrictions that prevent you from using certain cards, tributing monsters, using small decks, etc. In order to participate in these duels, your current deck must meet the qualifications. [I have a couple of Decks that should help with a LOT of these, I'll put them at the end of the guide.] --All except Level 4 forbidden-- Only monsters with 4 stars can be used Prize: 500DP Just pad your DEF and rely on effect damage or Final Countdown or the like. --Medium/high Level forbidden-- Monsters with 5 stars or more cannot be used Prize: 500DP Ditto. --ATK 1500 or more forbidden-- Monsters with an ATK of 1500 or more cannot be used Prize: 500DP Read above notes. --Flip Effects forbidden-- Flip Effect monsters cannot be used Prize: 500DP You could easily use the same deck for these first 5 duels. --Tributes forbidden-- Monsters cannot be offered in Tribute for Tribute Summons or to pay costs. Prize: 500DP I recommend a bunch of 2000 DEF 4* monsters, Chorus of Sanctuary, Yellow Luster Shield, and 3 Wave-Motion Cannons and 3 Final Countdowns, SwofRevLight, etc. --Traps forbidden-- Traps cannot be used Prize: 500DP I just used the deck I made with all monsters in it and won on the first try. --Large Deck A-- Duel with 60 or more cards in your Deck Prize: 500DP If you can get Guardian Sphinx on the field early this should be super easy. --Large Deck B-- Duel with 80 or more cards in your Deck Prize: 500DP Not altogether hard. --Sets forbidden-- Cards cannot be Set during the duel Prize: 500DP Well isn't this duel just craptacular with a capital CRAP. Take all your trap cards and put them in your side deck and remove all the defensive and flip effect monsters from your deck because they're all off limits. It's attacking monsters and spell cards or nothing in this one. Might I suggest the same deck you used for the Traps forbidden duel (assuming you beat that one). You know what really grinds my gears? Dark Paladin can set cards! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT? Anyway, don't take your eyes off the game for a second. It would suck to get him down to 500 LP, only to glance at a T.V. show, forget what you're doing, and set a monster before what would have been your final battle phase, because believe me, you won't need any help losing this duel. You know what REALLY cheeses me off? You can't even flip cards face down! THAT'S NOT A SET!!!!!!!! Therefore the Swarms and their like-worded cousins are useless here. The prize really isn't worth your time, do this one late, late in the game. --All Mnst except LV monsters forbidden-- Only cards whose names contain "LV" can be included in your Deck Prize: 1000DP --All monsters except Fairies forbidden-- Only Fairies can be included in your Deck Prize: 1000DP --All mnstrs ex. Wind monsters forbidden-- Only Wind monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 1000DP --All cards except monsters forbidden-- You cannot include Spell or Trap cards in your Deck Prize: 1000DP Not too hard, snag 80 effect monsters (some Labyrinth Walls too) and be lucky. --Level 3 or below forbidden-- Monsters with 3 stars or less cannot be used Prize: 1000DP --DEF 1500 or less forbidden-- Monsters with a DEF of less than 1500 cannot be used Prize: 1000DP --Effect Monsters Forbidden-- Effect monsters cannot be used Prize: 1000DP --Spells forbidden-- Spells cannot be used Prize: 1000DP Finally, a match that's actually fair. --Attacks forbidden-- Monsters cannot be used in battle Prize: 1500DP You want to focus on doing Life Point damage, so Ominous Fortunetelling and Stealth Bird are good cards to have. This dingus really likes to increase his Life Points, so Bad Reaction to Simochi works wonders. He has Spell Absorption also, so if you have ^^^^, all the cards like Tremendous Fire, Ookazi, and Poison of the Old Man will do even more damage. --All Monsters ex. Elem. Heroes forbidden-- Only monster cards whose names begin with "Elemental Hero" can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP??? I beat this and forgot how much I got for it; but I do know I did it with 5 monsters in an 80 card Deck. --All monsters except Warriors forbidden-- Only Warriors can be included in your Deck Prize: 1500DP --All mnstrs ex. Dark monsters forbidden-- Only Dark monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 1500DP --All Frbidn/Ltd/Semi-Ltd Cards forbidden-- All Forbidden/Limited/Semi-Limited Cards are treated as Forbidden Cards Prize: 1500DP --?????-- --Refer to Sept'04 Forbid & Ltd Card List-- All cards except those on the September 2004 Forbidden and Limited Card List forbidden Prize: 1500DP Is that tricky wording on the description or what? Not hard at all. --Low Life Points-- Start with 2000 Life Points Prize: 1500DP Seriously? Two turns with Stealth Bird or Wave-Motion Cannon and he's down. Thank goodness they actually made your opponent follow the same rules. --All Monsters except Toons Forbidden-- Only Toon monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --All Monsters except Spirits forbidden-- Only Spirit monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP If you can manage to get Stumbling, Burning Land, and Chain Energy on the field, you'll win in a few turns with little to no effort. --All monsters ex. Dragons forbidden-- Only Dragons can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --All monsters ex. Spellcasters forbidden-- Only Spellcasters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --All mnstrs ex Light monsters forbidden-- Only Light monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --All mnstrs ex. Fire monsters forbidden-- Only Fire monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --Decks with card multiples forbidden-- Only one copy of each card can be kept in your Deck Prize: 2000DP --Special Summons forbidden-- Special Summons cannot be used Prize: 2000DP Just don't Special Summon anything, his gadgets are pushovers. --Normal Summons forbidden-- Normal Summons cannot be used Prize: 2500DP You know what really cheeses me off? You can't SET either. Now I understand that they like to let the computer cheat up and down these duels, but come on. --All monsters except Zombie forbidden-- Only Zombie can be included in your Deck Prize: 2500DP I love Zombie-Type Monster Cards so this was cake for me. --All mnstrs ex Earth monsters forbidden-- Only Earth monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2500DP I also love EARTH Monster Cards, some of these are a gimme. --All mnstrs ex Water monsters forbidden-- Only Water monsters can be included in your Deck Prize: 2500DP Am I the only one that's tired of decks based around Water monsters and A Legendary Ocean already? --Refer to Mar'04 Forbid & Ltd Card List-- All cards except those on the March 2004 Forbidden and Limited Card List forbidden Prize: 2500DP --?????-- --Refer to Sept'05 Forbid & Ltd Card List-- All cards except those on the September 2005 Forbidden and Limited Card List forbidden Prize: 2500DP --?????-- I'll fill in the question marks as I unlock them. ------------------- --III. THEME DUEL-- ------------------- These duels all require you fulfill some condition during the duel for a hefty prize. --Battle Damage-- Cause 10,000 or more points of battle damage during a duel. Prize: 1000DP This duel isn't all that hard. Your opponent, Exarion Universe, will likely draw one of his Nimble Momonga and therefore, Special Summon the other two, increasing his LP to 11000 total (not to mention he has Solemn Wishes). So all you mainly have to do is win to complete the objective. --Deflected Damage-- Cause 4,000 or more points of deflected damage during a duel. Prize: 1000DP Absolute cake. Just pack your deck full of high defense monsters, play a few DEF boosting cards like Yellow Luster Shield and Chorus of Sanctuary and let the damage roll in for him. You may want to bring a few cards to get your monsters off the field, like 7 star monsters (set them or you won't be attacked and that's bad here), Dark Hole, or perhaps Penguin Soldier, so you can keep putting down monsters that they'll attack. --Normal Summon-- Normal Summon 10 monsters during a duel. Prize: 1000DP Lots of 1900ATK monsters is an excellent idea. He seems to have an inordinate amount of cards to kick your monsters' butts so you won't have to worry about filling the field and not being able to summon. You may want to bring a few blocking cards as well (Draining Shield, Magic Cylinder, etc.) just in case. --Ritual Summon-- Perform 10 Ritual Summons during a duel. Prize: ??? --Special Summon A-- Perform 10 Special Summons during a duel. Prize: 1000DP --20x Spell-- Use Spell cards 20 times during a duel. Prize: 1000DP Tsukuyomi and Magician of Faith can make this reeeeeally easy. --10x Trap-- Activate 10 Traps during a duel. Prize: 1000DP --Draw-- End a duel in a draw. Prize: 1000DP I just stopped him from attacking and played Dark Snake Syndrome. --Hand Destruction-- Make your opponent discard 20 cards from his/her hand. Prize: ??? --During Opponent's Turn-- Win during your opponent's turn. Prize: 1000DP Final Countdown anyone? --Recover-- Restore 20,000 or more Life Points during a duel. Prize: 2000DP Solemn Wishes, an 80 card deck, and a lot of luck help a lot. --Remove Monsters by Effect-- Remove 10 of your opponent's monsters from play using Effects during a duel. Prize: 2000DP Absolute cake. I removed all 21 of his monsters from play on the first try. Just filter to give cards that remove monsters from play, pick ones that target your opponent, then pad your deck. --Flip Summon-- Perform 10 Flip Summons during a duel. Prize: 2000DP Try to prevent him from attacking (Level Limit - Area B, Messenger of Peace...) until you can get Swarm of Scarabs on the field and it should be enough to take out all his monsters long enough for you to win by Final Countdown or no cards. --Special Summon B-- Special Summon 10 times from the Graveyard during a duel. Prize: ??? --Token-- Special Summon 15 Tokens during a duel. Prize: 2000DP --Union-- Equip 5 Union monsters during a duel. Prize: ??? --10x Quick Spell-- Use Quick-Play Spell cards 10 times in your opponent's turn during a duel. Prize: 2000DP I cannot stress the importance of the phrase "in your opponent's turn" enough. --The Forbidden-- Win a duel using the Effects of "Exodia the Forbidden One". Prize: 2000DP If your deck consists of 3 - Heart of the Underdog, 5 - pieces of Exodia, 16 - 1900ATK 4* or lower normal monsters, and 16 - 2000DEF or greater 4* or lower normal monsters, you'll win. You just will. --20 Turns-- Win a duel using the Effects of "Final Countdown". Prize: 2000DP Fairly easy for a Theme Duel (assuming you can draw Final Countdown early and prevent the King of Armageddon from destroying your monsters). He'll probably summon several of himself (Demise), but I'd be surprised if he ever uses its effect, so if you can keep a strong monster on the field (pronounced, 'anything with Mage Power equipped'), you should be able keep him at bay long enough for Final Countdown to take effect. Come to think of it, a deck full of 2000 defense monsters, and a few defense boosting cards (with some Final Countdowns) should be able to win with very little trouble. --Deck Destruction-- Make your opponent run out of cards and win the duel. Prize: 2000DP Just make good use of the Jars and be sure your deck has more cards than his to start with and you shouldn't have any problems. --?????-- --The Preventers Fight Back-- Successfully activate and maintain the Effect of "Ojama Delta Hurricane!!" and win the duel. Prize: ??? --Huge Revolution-- Successfully activate and maintain the Effect of "Huge Revolution" and win the duel. Prize: ??? --Victory in 5 Turns-- Win within 5 turns. Prize: 3000DP Come on, you can do it! If all else fails, take the deck for The Forbidden, swap out two Heart of the Underdogs for 2 normal monsters and just keep trying it again and again until you draw Heart of the Underdog on the first turn. --?????-- --?????-- --?????-- --Direct Damage-- Cause 20,000 or more points of direct damage during a duel. Prize: ??? --Destroy monsters in battle-- Destroy 20 of your opponent's monsters in battle during a duel. Prize: ??? --Tribute Summon-- Tribute Summon 10 monsters during a duel. Prize: ??? --Special Summon C-- Special Summon by removing monsters from Graveyard 10 times during a duel. Prize: 4000DP --Toon-- Cause 8,000 or more points of direct damage with Toon monsters during a duel. Prize: ??? --10x Counter-- Counter your opponent's Spells, Traps, Effects, Attacks, and Summons 10 times during a duel. Prize: ??? --Destiny Board-- Win a duel using the Effects of "Destiny Board". Prize: 4000DP WOO, that's a lot of DP for very little work. It's Destiny Board, pack some Different Dimension Capsules and a bunch of 1900ATK monsters with a few copies of Destiny Board and Spirit Messages and bam (or just one). --Huge Damage in a turn-- Cause 8,000 points or more of damage during a turn and win the duel. Prize: 4000DP WOO, Cash Money! Seriously though, a couple Wave-Motion Cannons and Level Limit - Area B's and this guy'll go down like nothing. He'll actually sacrifice F.G.D. to summon another F.G.D. for no reason. --?????-- --?????-- --?????-- --?????-- --Make a Chain-- Form 5 Chains. [This means, make a chain of 5 or longer. You can make 30 chains of 2 (I actually tried that once) and it won't do you a lick of good.] Prize: 4000DP WOO HOO! Four grand for activating 5 Quick-Play Spell cards at once! --The Gatekeeper Stands Tall-- Successfully Summon "Gate Guardian" and win the duel. Prize: ??? --Serious Damage-- Cause 50,000 or more points of damage during a duel. Prize: ??? --Return monsters with Effects-- Return monsters from the Field to your opponent's Deck or Hand using Effects 10 times during a duel. Prize: 5000DP This isn't all that hard. In my first attempt I returned monsters over 20 times. Pack the Hanes and some Level Limit - Area B's and you're golden. [Crass Clown is also a great help.] Woo, cash money! --Fusion Summon-- Perform 10 Fusion Summons during a duel. Prize: ??? --Big damage at once-- Prize: 5000DP Cause 8,000 points or more of damage with a single attack or Effect and win the duel. Yeah, you read it right. FIVE THOUSAND DP to keep Wave-Motion Cannon on the field for a while. --XYZ In The House-- Summon every card in the XYZ Series and win the duel. Prize: ??? --Spell Counter-- Use 10 Spell Counters during a duel. Prize: ??? --?????-- --?????-- --Dark Scorpion Combination-- Successfully activate and maintain the Effect of "Dark Scorpion Combination" and win the duel. Prize: ??? I'll fill in the question marks when they're unlocked. --------------------- --IV. SURVIVAL DUEL-- --------------------- This mainly has you duel as many random opponents as you can before you lose. That's about it. You'll earn DP depending on how many opponents you can defeat before losing. Your Life Points at the end of one duel carry over into the next duel, so building up your Life Points against weaker opponents is a good strategy, but be sure to bring your A game, because if you waltz in with your starter deck thinking you'll be fine, not even starting a duel with 35,000 Life Points will save you from Vampire Genesis if you're unprepared. Ironically enough, I designed a deck for looking through my opponent's deck so that I could have an easier time writing this guide, and that very deck took me through 20 survival duels and would have taken me further had it not been 2:30 in the morning and me having an 8 hour day at school the next day. (I had about 80,000 LP left when I quit.) So I'm going to post this oddly fantastic deck at the end of the guide, under the opponents' decks section. [Note: All of your opponents are from Free Duel LV1-5.] ------------------------- --3. USEFUL INFORMATION-- ------------------------- -------------- --A.
