I think you are confusing roc's item with something else, because there is no item
entitles "roc's ..." in Zelda link to the past/four swords. Same with Byrna's cape. The
entrance in the dark world in the desert requires the titan's mitt, which i think requires
beating the 4th or 6th dungeon of the dark world. In any sense, fly to the desert spot
using the flute and pick up the green rock. Enter the blue portal to get into the dark
world.

you need the hook shot to get there though. and the titans mit is in blinds hideout. there
are two cheasts in the dongen
