This cheat is quite easy to pull off and can make you a huge amount of money.

Alright then. First off: requirements-
You need to have a long line of coconut trees near the shore.
You will need a net.
You will need a fishing rod.

So far so good: now - wait until June/July/August (or travel through time but your neighbors will move and weeds will grow everywhere) and change the time to about 10:00pm.
Now go down to the beach and take out your net. If you whack the water with your net every time a little fish comes along you will scare it away. But when you find a massive fish with a fin that protrudes out of the water you´re in luck. Cast your fishing rod and try your hardest to catch it. If you catch it, take your net back out and try the whole thing agin.
Seeing as you have your net out, we can go bug catching at the same time. Ever wondered what those wierd coconut trees were for? They harvest four different kinds of rare bug that sell for a lot of money. When you´re trying to catch your large fish and you see one of these beetles, catch it.

When your pockets are full simply sell everything at Nooks store (Nooks Cranny, Nook ´n´ go, Nookway, Nookingtons) and then try the whole thing again. You can make about 100,000 bells in the space of 15 minutes.

First Cover ya whole floorin' with a design or somethin (Those pattern things that yah can make[To prevent weeds]),
Then ya put any amount of money higher than 55,000 in ya bank.
Go to yah DS setting's and from the real date change it to 2099 ya.
Then go back to your game and then the bank has 99,000 more! ya
Then change it back to ya real date and pickup the designs and done ya.
If yah want more money then dont pick the designs up just yet, just bring the date back , go into yah game and save it, then put the date back to 2099 and go back to the game, woah anotha' 99,000 easy' ya peeps.

Well we all know if u try to seel the fruit that was in ur town when u got there
would only get 100 bells.So an easy way of making money is to write letters to ur town folk and send them the fruit that was in ur town when u got there 90% of the time they will send u a different fruit back like ORanges, Appels, Cherrys, pears,Peaches,Coconuts u can sell these for 500 bells each or plant them and they wil grow in to rare fruit tree and u can sell the fruit on it everyday

Have a friend visit your town and buy something from Nook's store. You will get notification that he is upgrading and you will get Nookington's. In Nookington's, there will be a hairdresser. It will cost 3,000 bells to get a haircut. The hairdresser will ask you three questions to get your true hair style. The following is a list of all the hairstyles, colors, and how to get each style. She will ask you three questions with two different answers for you to chose. By choosing either A (the top answer) or B (the bottom answer) you will get a different haircut. Note. If you talk to her enough you will be able to get both male and female hairstyles.

Male:
1. BBA : Bangs
2. AAA: Buzz cut
3. BBB: Spiked up
4. AAB: Starting Hair
5. BAB: Long and Wavy
6. ABA: Single Spike

This really helped me.
Set your town time and DS time to 01.01.2000 and put in 10,000+ bells.
Then save your game and switch of your DS. Turn your DS back on and change the date to 01.01.2011. Then go on Animal Crossing and check your mail. (You should have cleared out your mailbox first for at least 4 spaces) In the mail you might have 10,000 bells from your mum AND a letter from the town hall saying you have some interest of 6,000+ bells. Then save your game and turn of your DS again. Set your DS time to 01.01.2022. Then play on Animal Crossing and check your mail again. And you will have another letter from the town hall saying you have interest. You can do this as many times as you want, but don't go as high as 2099. The interest you get every time you do this will be more, until it gets to 99,999 bells at a time.
With this you will be able to unlock the following items after some time:
Box of Tissues
Piggy bank
Pelly's pic
Phyllis's pic
Town hall model
WARNING: You get loads of weeds and neighbours may change. (Mine did.)
CAUTION: YOU'LL BE A MILLIONARE!

1.) first, go make a design at the Able Sisters shop. then, when your done, do to the pencil/design icon in your pockets. click and drag your design to the lowermost, left corner of the ds screen. it will change your pocket backround!!
2.)make sure you have a peice of clothing in your pockets. click and drag it to the lowermost corner of the ds screen.it will change your pockets bakcround!!
**when changing backrounds with options 1 OR 2, you'll end up will a yellow dot shirt in your pockets. this is because that's the default backround**

At nignt, you can sometimes see a star shoot across the sky. it makes a little *bling!* noise, too. at night, walk around without any equipment in your hands. when you see a shooting star, PRESS A IMMEDIATLEY!! the next day, you'll get a letter from Wishy the star with a rare item gift.

If you've seen the cheat to give you 99999 bells DONT DO IT!!!!! I did it and nothing happened exept fill my town with weeds! And if you go back to the regular time the weeds are still there!!!!! I'm so sad about my town because i got so far but then i had to pull out all of the stupid weeds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't have this game anymore because I traded it for Harvest Moon. Here is the cheat I used to win the fishing competition. If you don't have a fishing rod, Tortimer will give you one on the day of the competition. Once you've got it go time travelling to August and go down to the beach. Wait until you see a fish with a fin sticking out of the water. This will either be a Shark or a Ocean Sunfish . Either one will do. Then go back to Fishing Comp. day and give the fish to Tortimer. If you can't be bothered waithing, time-travel to the next day and, Tada! You've won!

There are 6 items that you are able to turn gold: Fishing rod, net, Slingshot, shovel, axe, watering can.

To get the golden fishing rod (Which I have, yay me), you must catch EVERY fish. It increases the 'reel in time' by five seconds, which is VERY useful if you like fishing or just like to be annoying and go over to a friends and keep showing off a REALLY big fish (Which is actually quite fun! ^_^)

Golden net: Catch EVERY bug. It literally doubles the capture size, meaning say it was 3 feet wide originally, now it's 6.

Golden slingshot (One of the easier ones), you must shoot down 16 or so presents. Once obtained, it will shoot 3 pellets instead of one.

Golden shovel: This one is odd, you must bury a shovel for one day, but you need to have another one to dig it up, of course. This can really help if you're low on bells, for with it, you can plant money bags worth over some amount of bells (I think either 100 or 1000) and after about a week, the tree will have become a money tree! If I remember right, the money doesn't grow back, so use it sparingly.

Golden can: If you keep the enviroment perfect for 16 days, Pelly or Phyllis will reward you with this miracle worker. My cousin tells me that it can revive dead flowers or trees.

Golden axe: Ok, the guide book simply says; If you meet up with the philosopher Pascal at the beach, he will let you trade in a scallop seashell for the golden axe, which doesn't break. But I'm not sure that's the EXACT way, cuz the way some one would usually get it would be through a series of trading...

There is a glitch in the game that you DEFINITLY want to avoid. If you plant a pitfall seed near the town gates, there is a SMALL possibility that it can lead to the town gates becoming another entrance to the museum. This renders all multiplayer functions useless, forcing several players to restart the game. Just like the glitched yellow tulip that Nintendo sent out via wi-fi that, if planted in a house, produces an invisible, irremovable wall. I hope that this warning helps you and stops the game from being ruined accidentally.See ya!

I heard that the roof color of the default house (the house you get when you first arive) is the same color as the theme of your DS. Change your DS' color, and the roof color will change too.

I'm not positive if it works though. Anyone care to try? xDD

Buy a normal shovel from Tom Nook, and then the next day buy another. Bury one and then the next day dig it up; it should be golden.

If you ever played the original Animal Crossing, then this might sound familiar:

There are acres, and they're what I think are 16x16 squares each. They're harder to see because...the screen doesn't change anymore when you enter a new acre? (That was a wild guess.)

Anyway, the point is, to get a perfect town, you have to balance the number of trees and flowers and maintain that harmony. And weeds don't count as flowers.

Everyday go threw your town hitting rocks witha shovel if u find the wrtie one money will come shooting out from it the max u can get is 2.500 bells which i think is ok for hitting s rock hav fun with it please rate =]

Go on to your patterns and select one, then drag it to the bottom left hand corner; the pattern is now set as your background for your pockets. Also when you do this you immediatley receive the big dot shirt, which appears in your pockets.

How to change the background of your inventory.

1) Grab a shirt or pattern.
2) Drag it to the lower left corner.
3) It'll be over an invisible space, drop it.

Hold 10 extra items

This is a really easy trick. Just buy 10 letters, leave them blank, than pull an item onto it so that it becomes a present. Tada, 10 extra slots.

Store more items

Speak to Pelly in the town hall (or Phyllis, if it's at night) and choose "Save a Letter". You can save up to 75 letters, and you can attach gifts/items to these letters so you can keep 75 items in the post office, plus the 90 items in the dressers, and you can do this with all 4 characters, for maximum item storage.

Getting furniture from your neighbors houses

If an animal in your town has furniture in his or her house that you want, send them seashells, unwanted furniture, or fossils to them in the mail. They'll usually put these gifts in their house, displacing whatever was there before. Check the recycle bin at your Town Hall and the item you wanted from their house may be in there.

Instantly Cure Sick Villagers

When one of your villagers is sick, you'll have to give him/her some Medicine every day for about a week to cure him/her, but an easier way to cure him/her is to get on WiFi or multiplayer, then the villager will be immediately cured when someone visits your town.

First Roof Color

Your first house's roof color can be customized, believe it or not. Simply change your DS's menu color from the DS setup screen and your house will have that same roof color. NOTE: this only works with the color you have set when you first move into a house.

Free Fishing Rod from Tortimer

If you go up and talk to Tortimer at the Fishing Tourney and you don't have a fishing rod with you, he should give you his. It's just a normal fishing rod, but hey, it's free.

Make animals stay in their houses

To make animals stay in their houses, simply go to the gate, and ask Copper to open the gates for DS to DS visitors. After the gates are open, your animals will stay in their houses. This makes deliverys VERY easy if you are having trouble finding certain animals, or if you are trying to look at a certain animal's house and they don't stay inside much.

Find out tomorrows weather

If you have a TV, make sure you pay attention when the weather show is on. It'll tell you, in pictures, how the weather will be the next day. It'll either show a picture with the sun for a clear day, or clouds with snowflakes for snow, or rain etc. This is important if you want to catch a Coelacanth.

Free bug net

While the bug contest is going on, talk to tortimer and and he will give you a free bug net. This only works if you don't have a bug net on you already.

Turnips that never spoil.

First get a table and place it in your house. Now take any item preferred item is fishing pole or shovel and set it down in front of the table, now stand directly on that item and try to place your turnips on the ground. Instead of the turnips falling on the ground they go onto the table. This prevents any spoiling as opposed to setting them on the ground.

Cause all the mail to be sent

Normally, the mail will only come at 9am and 5pm daily. However, there is a way to make the mail come whenever you want. When you order an item from the catalog, or when you or one of your villagers sends a letter, it becomes "pending to be sent" at the post office. However, the post office can only hold ten letters as "pending" at a time. If more than ten letter are sent, all the mail will come. So, in order to cause the mail to come whenever you want, simply send letters to one of your villagers or another character in your house until there are more than ten total letters waiting to be sent. This is a great way to get items from the catalog whenever you want.

Sometimes you can get different fruits from the mail! All you have to do is send someone your native fruit. Talk about whatever you want (This part doesn't matter.) Then, get your native fruit and give it as a gift. After you get the mail, sometimes they give you another fruit. This will not always happen so don't thumbs down this. I got two different fruits!

Ever wondered why your characters (spelling) have different styles when you start a new person, well I've got the answer!
When you press "new resident" on the main menu screen you will be in a car with a driver called Kap'n (I don't know how to spell his name). Well depending on the answers you give Kap'n will deturmain (spelling) how you look. For instance I said Yeah it stincks,Yep it's burly,Right on, I'm moving and Kinda... I turned out having normal sized black eyes with brown hair and I can't remember what shirt and what type of hair because it was over 1 year ago. I recemend if you are a boy to get the same style as me cause' it is my favourite stle and it is awsome. I hope this helped and pretty please rate this good.
