X Button - Opens the main menu in the castle and on the battlefield, although the menus have different options. Sorts items in the Item Bag and Storage menus, and unequips items on the Character Equipment menu, which sends them to the Item Bag or Warehouse. Move characters on the battlefield while attempting to perform a skill. Y Button - No function in the castle or most menus. On the Item Info and Character Info menus, it switches the information show in a cycle. Heals everyone at the same time at the hospital. Hold this button down and press L to zoom in or out during battles. Hold this button down and press R to cycle through your base panel and your deployed characters during battle. You can check out the weapons behind you, but it'll be of no use. So exit the room from the exit in the botton left corner. As you come into the next room, you'll see a big throne. Go to its back side and press A. You'll be asked if you want to press the switch and choose YES. If you press A again, it'll say that you have pressed it too hard and its stuck and broken. But never mind that and descend the steps. You'll see some more vassals of your father, the king. Talk to them for some small chuckles. 1) Manty : That's just like you, Prince, taking a two-year nap. Laharl : I only planned on napping for about ten days... Hmmm... Something's not right. 2) Goleck : All the royal vassals left the castle shortly after the king died. Laharl : Even with me still around? Etna : Well, you were sleeping. They must have forgotten about you. 3) Dratti : Oh well, looks like I wasted my time digging that grave for you. Laharl : I'll put You in that grave instead! Follow the blue carpet and exit the room. You'll then be in a corridor. You can go either way. If you move right, you'll come across the Music Shop and he says that it is under construction and asks you to come back later. Anyway, get down the stairs and you'll see more vassals. Go see the dimensional Gatekeeper and she'll send you there. 2)Gargo : In order to prevent intruders, I have closed all the gates. Please talk to the "Dimensional Gatekeeper" if you'd like to leave the castle. Laharl : Yeah, whatever... You probably just didn't want to watch the gate. So, head up the stairs on the left and move into the next room. Its gonna be the room most frequently visited by you, since it contains almost everything like: Hospital, Shop, Dark Assembly, Item World and most importantly, the Dimensional Gatekeeper. As you go down the stairs, you'll be taken into a brief tutorial about Items. And remember whatever you have seen: the shops, hospital, item world, dark congress etc., To the south of the shop, you'll notice three persons. 1)Pleinair : The assembly is currently not in session. 2)Kanna : There are many features in this game, like the Dark Assembly and the Item World. If all of your dispatched characters are defeated, the game will be over. Laharl : So, the basic idea is to gang up on one character and beat, the living day lights out of him, huh? Etna : Exactly, Prince. Remember to use your head next time. Laharl : You're the one who told me to do it!! Etna : Team attacks sometimes occur when allies are positioned next to attacking characters. If several characters attack the enemy in a row, a "combo" will result and greater damage will be dealt. If you want to know more, press the X button and select "Help" from the menu. Press A on the base panel (blue one) and dispatch the characters one by one. Move two of your characters to each enemy and put the last character on the base panel itself. Make your characters attack their respective enemy. If one of the two enemies does not die, make your last character go and kill him. Then end your turn. And in your turn, attack the last enemy by ganging up on him. This level will be a piece of cake for you. After you kill all the enemies, the stage clears. S T A G E C L E A R ! -_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_- You may get an item and some Hell (HL). You can go back to the castle by pressing B on the "Tutorial Select Screen". Then go to the Netherworld Hospital and Heal. Then save your game, before attempting the next area. From now on I will call this process as HEAL AND SAVE.
