Secret - Classes

by NukePhD Mar 17, 2011

In case you do not know how to find them or are interested in knowing all of the available classes (Including the two secret ones!!) here you go!

Standard Classes (Available from the moment you have access to All-Trades Abbey)

  • Warrior - Great physical attacker, high HP, Str, and DEF.
  • Martial Artist - Another great physical attacker. The only difference is Martial Artists are a little more quick and a little less defensive than Warrior's
  • Mage - Attack magic user. A tough class to master, Mage's have high Int, at the cost of their HP, Atk, and Def stats.
  • Priest - Healers, as the name implies. They're a little better than mages when it comes to HP, Atk, and Def. Their Int is slightly lower than a mages.
  • Dancer - Virtually all speed and flashy attacks
  • Thief - Once again, speed and some flashy attacks.
  • Monster Master - Sadly, you aren't able to recruit monsters to join you. Instead, you can learn a few of their abilities with this class. It lowers almost all of your stats when you switch to this class, though
  • Merchant - They have an innate ability that makes more gold drop after battles. They also have some unique and interesting abilities as well as being the one of the faster classes to master. You get a slight increase to the Int stat when switching to this class.
  • Gadabout - DQIX's Minstrel with a different name. This is just a random kind of class that can be both harmful and useful.
  • Secondary Classes (These are available once you've mastered a few of the Standard Classes.)

  • Gladiator - Master the Warrior and Martial Artist on one character and the Gladiator job opens up to them. The Gladiator is all physical. MP and Int take a bit of a dive.
  • Armamentalist - Master the Mage and Warrior classes on one character and the Armamentalist job will open up to them. The Armamentalist is a combination of a Mage and a Warrior. Decent Str and Int. Def is good. Overall very good class. Learns elemental sword attacks
  • Paladin - Master Martial Artist and Priest on one character and you can turn them into a Paladin. Paladins are all about protecting allies. They have a chance to instantly kill an oponent with a physical hit.
  • Sage - Master the Mage and Priest classes on one character and the Sage class will open before you. These are prime casters. The spell list they offer to teach is fantastic. As well with each job level...

    Secret - Easy Job Grinding

    by johny001 Mar 17, 2011

Carver seems to level up a little too quickly vs. the other characters, so this makes job grinding a little tough. But! Once you make you're way to a place in the game called the Spiegelspire there is absolutely no level cap (Which means that you could be level 80 or higher and still come back to this place to job grind). Here's the party to use:

    • Hero - Mage (Warrior already mastered)
    • Carver - Priest (Martial Artist already mastered)
    • Milly - Mage (Priest already mastered)
    • Ashlynn - Priest (Mage already mastered)

Have the Hero, Milly, and Ashlynn cast the Boom spell. It only takes the Hero's and Milly's to take the entire opposing monsters out. Couple this with as the battle ends having someone use the Whistle ability and this becomes a very easy grinding place! This area works great if you're trying to get to the advanced classes early.

    Secret - Recruiting Amos

    by !!champion!!2006 Mar 02, 2011

Note: Save your game before even entering Scrimsley because you can miss Amos. You can accidently screw up this sidequest and you will never see Amos again and you will not be able to recruit him.

When you get to Scrimsley the townsfolk will talk about how cool he is, go to Amos's house and speak with him to learn he was bitten on the rear by a monster, he'll want to speak with you tomorrow and asks you to stay at the inn, do so.

You will wake up to a rumbling in the middle of the night. The Inn-keeper tries to get you to stay in your room but ignore him and proceed to the rooftop of the inn. Go over the edge of the inn to see a dragon-like monster attacking. Defeat this monster. Once you do someone will prevent you from delivering saying that this monster is Amos when night-time comes around. The Inn-Keeper will tell you more in the morning

Talk to the Inn-Keeper the next morning to learn that Amos does this every night and the townsfolk won't tell him becasue he'd leave. The inn-keeper and some of the townsfolk tell you to not tell Amos. This is VERY important! You CANNOT tell Amos the truth if you want him to join you later.

Go to Amos's house again and speak with him. He will ask if there's something on his face. Say YES. Then a prompt will come up asking if you want to tell Amos everything SAY NO.

Go to a mountainous area to the north of Scrimsley and get the seeds of reason. When you get back depending on if you told Amos the truth or not, he will be in town or he will have disappeared. If you told him the truth the townsfolk are angry and an old women will tell you there's no use looking for him and everyone makes mistakes and she hopes you've learned from it (The mistake being if you're a completionist like me you now have to start over if you want Amos). If you didn't tell Amos the truth, give him the seeds of reason and the rest is cake. He will join you.
