These are some of the villagers that can be unlocked by doing certain tasks

In order to obtain a horse you must live the dog, befried Chen and Charlie (sometimes it's just Chen) to I believe at least two hearts. Just do the exact the same thig with them as you would do if you were attempting to get the dog. Talk to them everyday until your allowed to give them gifts, then give them stuff that is listen below:

Chen
Likes: Buckwheat,Rice Cake,Boiled egg,Tofu,omlet
Really likes: Natto,corn soup,egg soup,soy milk
Best Gift: Noodles

Charlie
Likes: peach,apple,grape,mixed juice
Strongly likes: Curry bread,Curry Bun,Curry Rice
Best Gift: Dry Curry
Best Gift: Noodles

please keep in mind that you can only give chen gifts on hi days off which is only friday. You can give Charlie stuff when he isn't by the counter.

Im not to sure this wll be helpful. But just in case you wanted to change your weather I thought i'd post this. Go on yoou harvest moon check the weather go to sleep then save turn off ds turn on insert the code through action replay use the weather You want then go in your game and it should work. Dont work? I'll see if i can find the updated version (if possible) or the working code.
How to put code in:
Turn on ds and go to action replay put in the code then put these codes at the end for the specific weather you want:
put the number at the end of your code where the "X" is.
0: Very Sunny
1: Sunny
2: Cloudy
3: Very Rainy
4: Rainy
5: Snowing
6: Vicious Storm (can't leave your house)
7: Vicious Snow Storm (can't leave your house)
