Here are some more tips to help you succeed through the game.
-You'll need to find LEGO Studs by harvesting or destroying resources.
-When fighting units that are fire boulders or cannonballs, spread out your forces so fewer units are hurt by the splash.
-In Gemma's Story, stray robots can provide clues and hints to help you in your mission.
-Don't forget to use Hero's Spells, Speed, Strength and Armor boosts can really help in battle.

To unlock Santa, play lego battles on x-mas or change the date of your ds (when you first turn on the ds, there is a tiny pic of a ds in the bottom, that's the options screen where you change the date)
