What shell are you talking aboutOnly green and red shells are blockable,the blue spiny shell cannot be blocked.

or another way to dodge it is:
start doing the drift until u get the red sparks under the tyres, then when u hear the blue shell coming, let go of L/R and start drifting in the opposite direction. its hard; i cant do it
