Nintendogs Hints

If you friend has a different version of nintendogs or a dog you want, you can get them now ,all you do is both go on "go out" then on "bark mode" and get you friend to do the same (make sure you quite close) and if you friend uses the dog you want when u come off it will say the kennel has brought in that dog, you can then buy it!

Using the glitch below, if you find the lucky collar, where it on walks and you will find good items, you can sell them and make quite a lot of money.

Go for a walk with your dog. Take it through lots of question marks and straight to the park and straight home from there. At the park change/remove your dogs accessory. It will say saving don't turn of the power. When it is saved turn it off. Go back on and do this over again repeatidly. You will keep all the items and not have to wait half an hour for another walk.

1) Before you enter a contest save your game.
2) Win 1st place in the contest, if you didn't win 1st place turn off the game and reload from you save point.
That way you can enter as many times as you want until you win, of couse you can only win three times. I advise you to win 1st place because it helps a lot. Also If you gone to the frisbee championships and the top player (other than you) points is 50, turn off the game and reload because there is no way to surpass it.

Buy a labrador and buy the green hat save the game and restart it now if you buy something it will be free.

What? Your Nintendog doesn't have a feeding time?! Well, it should!!
If your Nintendog has a certain time when it should be fed, it makes it a LOT more fun to play with. Just do the following the get the best relationship from your greedy Nintendog!
NEVER feed it when it is full because it won't it anyway.
NEVER feed it when it is "normal" because it is fine as it is and will feel lazy and tired if you feed it.
ALWAYS feed your Nintendog if he/she is hungry or famished otherwise they may starve or think they are being neglected and run away.
**These rules also apply to drinking time too! (E.g. NEVER give them a drink if they are quenched or normal)***

Ya' know when your on a walk and you come to a blue. Your dog either barks once if it's a present or twice if it's dog. But sometimes when your dog barks once it's still another dog. To know if it's a dog or present at one bark just listen to the music. If it's a present, it stops. If it's a dog, it keeps going.

When you take your dog for a walk, sometimes left on the pathway there is either dog muck, which if your puppy eats then it will get sick so drag it away by the lead, or there is a present, make sure your puppy doesn’t walk past the present. If your lucky enough to slow your puppy down, then click on the present with your stylus and you will have something added to your supplies.

It took me a long time to work this out and when I did, I felt like putting it on CheatsGuru Community! This is a secret to tell you which dogs are good for which contest. Lets get on with it.
Disc Competition:
A challenging contest, but you will still be able to conqueror it with patience. I would recommend you big dogs. You can also use a dog size between middle-big because they will do a lot of jumping. I recommend:
Labrador Retriever, Shih Tzu, Shetland Sheepdog, Miniature Schnauzer, Golden Retriever, Boxer, German Shepherd or Siberian Husky. Everyday before you enter a contest go to the park and play fetch with your tennis ball. Throw it as hard and far as you possibly can. This is a good warm up to get you dog's speed increased. Now to the main subject. If your dog is newly purchased, give it a disc which has different color to all of your other toys. If it is old, use the disc you last practiced with. Then throw the disc out weakly if its new, then when it gets used to it throw it a little farther. Increase the distance every time. Soon you'll be throwing it really far! Whenever your dog brings it back to you, pat it until it sparkles. Practice until it doesnt want to play anymore and you've succeeded! I think you already know this but, only practice in empty parks. After the contest, go to the park again. Of course, if your dog is on Expert Clas.s+, dont bother patting it in contests.
Agility Trials:
Pretty simple. I would suggest you perfectly middle dogs like:
Shiba Inu, Pug, Yorkshine Terrier, Cavalier, Miniature Schnauzer, Miniature Pinscher and Beagles.
Before contest go to the gym at least twice a day and focus on one hurdle and jump over it 9 times without misses. Then go to the double hurdles, poles, see-saws, tunnels and do the same thing. After that do the whole obstical course until a message comes up that says:
(E.G.) has had enough play today. Maybe it's time to get on with your walk.
Then of course go to the contest and be amazed by your dog!
Obedience Trials:
Five words: Hard, hard, hard and hard. Any dog will be perfect because it doesn't include physic. Check the rules of this contest before practicing. Use two days to learn the basic commands. Day one learn: Sit, Lie Down and Spin. Day two learn: Shake, Jump, Beg and Roll Over. Using day three I'll teach you some commands to really impress the judges. One: Stand Up.
Get your dog to beg and lift up its paw. Then quickly touch the training icon then say: stand up.
Two: Ballet.
You can practically call this whatever you want but I called it ballet because it spins around like what ballet dancers do. Get your dog to beg then say: Spin.

If you are tired of waiting till your dog can go on a walk again No more of that here is a hint that is fast and easy!!!!
1. Go on a walk
2. Go through all the boxes you can get!
3. Go to the park before going home
4. At the park put on a different assessory.
5. Turn off your DS.
6. Turn it back on and you'll have the presents you went through and got and your dog is ready for another walk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you've trained your dog with one frizbee, for a long time, make sure you have toys that aren't the same color as the frizbee. The reason is that if you've trained it with a red frizbee and throw a red rubber bone in your house or in the park, just to relieve it's stress, it'll pick it up and give it to you. The other thing is that you have to keep training it with one frizbee, otherwise it'll just forget its training with the last frizbee. If you've trained it well it'll always bring the frizbee back.

This cheat works with every game if you buy a mew dog and take it for a waalk it will most likely get a jucie bottle or camara so if you have an older dog take it to as meny blue boxes as you can and you mite want to use your oldist dog. i hoped it helped

When you are on a walk and are very close to the [?], let go of the leash and let it go to the question mark without you tugging and get a 80% chance to get the present instead of one of your neighbors.

I finally found the fireman's hat a few days ago. My Golden Ret. wasn't wearing anything red and I did not hear any sirens when I took him out for a walk.

He was wearing his Lucky Collar though, his walking stamina meter was full, he was clean (not beautiful), his hunger was full and his thirst quenched, he was the champion in the disc competition and was in third place in the obedience and agility trials, and he was running (tug on the leach and hold, your puppy will start running). The hat wasn't in one of the "?" boxes, it was the presents on the floor that you have to pull the dog back. And when you find the hat, it wont tell you that the Dalmatian is available, just go to the kennel and it will be there. Just keep your dog happy, take them on walks often and enter them in competitions and eventually you will find it. (My trainer point at the time were almost 14,000).

When you go for a walk, watch the upper screen. if you see the little dog icon stop while your dog on the bottom is still walking, then watch the bottom screen closely. if yoo see a present lying in the middle of the sidewalk, quickly spin your dog around. thell see the present and go pick it up. usually, its a flower, shuttle model, lucky collar, or some other good prize. **NOTE!: on the top screen, garbage piles will make your dog icon stop as well.

If you have dogs that are fighting (and dont want 2 hurt them while disiplening them) call (1 at a time) them and tap thier noses they dont get hurt or get mad they just sneeze and then they wont fight


P.S. dont pull their ear and smack them even if they are fighting thats cruel punishment

When you are having a bath on covering on the shampoo dont touch the spounge just pat your dog it loves it.

Teach your dog to beg, then while begging grab it's paw and lift up. Your dog will start dancing!

If you want a useful gift instead of things like stick, dog photo, etc. While your dog is getting it, press the B button as many times.

Sick of....slow...talking.....judges...? Well here is you solution! While Ted and Archie are talking, tap with your stylis where the arrow would be, really fast and it will make the writing go quicker so you don't have to wait 10 hours to finish a contest!!!

If you have 3 dogs they are hard to train because you can't train them all at once and when you start training one, the others always want to play so you can't train the dogs right. If you find the naptime record while going on a walk, go back home and play it until all the dogs fall asleep. Then, click home and click on the dog you want to train. Use the button in the middle to whistle to that dog and wake only it up. It should yawn and stretch and come right to you. Voila! Now you can train that dog without any interuptions! (At least until they wake up)

When your on a walk and you pick up the nintendogs theme song on a record,(if you did) go to the park so there are three dogs at the park.Play the nintendog theme with the dogs or your own three dogs and they will get themselves ready for the "chorus"and your dogs will bark along with the music and put an a concert for you!!!If you want them to look elegant then put red bow ties on each of YOUR DOGS!It's a wild scene I swear!

If you are on a walk and you want to find presents, but you dont have time time to get it...JUST look at the top screen if the little dog on top stops but your dog is still running that means there is a present or garbage coming up. So be ready to yank back on the leash
