Make sure the ds is at least 6 inches away from ur mouth. Pronounce the name clearly and
say it the same way each time. To set the mic from low to high, click on go out, then info
at the bottom right corner of the screen. then click on system settings at the bottom,
then you will see Mic Sensitivity as the second from the top! click on the arrow to set it
to Low, Normal, or High. Good Luck!

Anyways, it took me forever when I got Nintendogs. I walked around the house yelling into
the mic, Sammy(my dog's name)! Finally, sparkles flew and I finally got to type in her
name. So if you are a starter, it probably will take awhile.

all you got to sa it is 3 times when the ds is on your lap

but somtimes it takes more then 3 times and i know that cos i hav all 4 nintendogs and all
of them did not take 3 times :)
