3.0 FAQs (Frequently asked questions) [FRAQ]
How many sagas are included in the game?
In the game are included, principally, 4 sagas: Sabaody arch, Amazon Lily,
Impel Down, Marineford. In addition there's the Strong World (taken from the
tenth film of One Piece), the Judicial Sky (a mixture of three sagas: Skypiea
arch, Enies Lobby arch, Thriller Bark arch), the Merry's Lagoon (a mixture
between Alabasta arch and Drum Island arch), the East Blue Park (a mixture of
four sagas: Kuro arch, Creek arch, Arlong arch, Logue Town arch.)
When this game was published?
It was published in 09/09/10 in Japan. In America/Europe it arrived in
07/01/2011.
How many characters there are in the game?
In the game there are 20 playable characters and 71 supporting characters.
What are passwords and why these don't work?
The passwords are codes to insert in the game to unlock particular characters
support. However, these passwords only work with the Japanese version of the
game while for the European version and the U.S. do not work and some of the
characters that you unlock with the codes in the Japanese version, in this
version can be obtained normally as the other supports.

4.0 Main Menu [MNME]
First, as soon as you turn on your Nintendo DS with the game inserted, after
the initial video you must press the start button. Then you'll see a menu with
seven options that are, in order from left to right: Pirate Grand Prix,
Thousand Arena, MultiPlayer, Training, Edit Pirate Team, Treasure, Options.

5.0 Pirate Grand Prix [PGPX]
From here you enter the story mode. You can relive, through various sagas, the
adventures of the Straw Hat Pirates. Through this option you'll have to beat
all mission of the 10 island. You'll unlock the playable characters and the
supports, and also you can grown your character with the experience points.

6.0 Thousand Arena [THAR]
This is the challenge mode. With four different modes (Battle Royale, 1-on-1
Battle, Free Battle, 100 Chain Battle) you can test your skills in battle. The
Battle Royale, which is available in 4 modes (Easy, Normal, Hard, Expert),
consists in 5 battles, 3 vs 3, consecutively (the fifth is a 4 vs 4 battle).
The 1-on-1 is similar to Battle Royale, but are 1 vs 1 battles. With Free
Battle you can choose all the features of the battle (Level, Rules, Time,
items, GP, CPU, Tag, Player). Finally the 100 Chain Battle consists in 100
battles consecutively, without regenerating the life.

7.0 Multi-Player [MUPL]
With this option you can challenge your friends in battles through the Wi-Fi.
There's three different types of the Wi-Fi battles: Multi-Card Play, which can
be done by having a copy of the game to person; Single-Card Play, that requires
only one copy of the game to play with other people; Use Your Character.

8.0 Training [TRNG]
You can train and learn new moves to use in combat. Completing the training
and the Battle Royale with a character will allow you to unlock that character
as support.

9.0 Edit Pirate Team [EDPT]
Here you can create your own custom team and you can invent new strategies for
fighting.

9.1 Supports' Attributes [SPAT]
The attributes of support, unlockable throughout the game, are special features
that you can attribute to the supporting characters in "Edit Pirate Team." Here
there's a list of all attributes and the relative effects.
Swordsman - Boosts HP of support character. Automatically joins when gauge
fills.
Navigator - lets you summon the support character sooner, but lowers their HP.
Marksman - Makes the support character appear behind the main character.
Cook - Restores GP when summoned. But sometimes the food can be too spicy...
Doctor - Heals status effects, but slows down summoning speed.
Musician - Gives you random power-ups, but sometimes causes status effects.
Supernova - Boosts experience received. Assign to support character you want to
make stronger.

10.3 Password [PSWD]
The Password option, contained in "Treasure", is used to insert a "navigation
path", which it eventually unlocks something. This "navigation paths" don't
work with the European/American version of the game. In the Japanese version
these password are indispensable to unlock the supports Monkey D. Dragon and
Silvers Rayleigh, but in European and American version these two characters can
be unlocked normally, clearing a particular mission (I forgot the missions, but
I have unlocked them without passwords). If you have the Japanese version you
can use the following passwords.

11.0 Game System [GMSY]
The goal of this two-dimensional game is to reduce the opponent to zero life,
before the opponent does so with you. To do this you must use moves, items and
supports.
In addition to the normal moves, which are executed by pressing the B button
and directional arrow keys, you can also use some particular moves called
"special move" and "secret move". These moves, to be performed, consume GP
(Gigant Points) which are the flames present under the health bar. Each
character has two special moves and a secret move. These moves are activated by
performing the following combinations of keys:
First Special Move:   B - A      (Using GP points: 1)
Second Special Move:  Y - B      (Using GP points: 2)
Secret Move:          Y - X - A  (Using GP points: 3)
The GP points can be earned or causing damage to your opponent through normal
moves, or when receiving attacks from the opponent.
Fighting accumulate experience points that increase your character's
statistics. When the character levels up you can decide which statistics to
increase. Statistics are the following:
HP - It is equivalent to the bar of life and is one of the essential
statistics.
Attack - More this statistic is higher most damage you can inflict to your
opponent through the normal attacks.
Special - This statistic influence the damage you can cause by using special
moves or the secret move.
Items - This statistic helps to increase the damage caused by using the items.
Support - This statistic helps to increase the damage caused by using the
supporting characters.

12.0 Options [OPTN]
From here you can change the options of the game as the music volume, the
character in the main menu and even you'll be able to erase the game data.
Also you can change the key commands. The default controls for playing are:
