When I go west of PErry, I jump on conveyor and go to next platform but when I try to jump on next conveyor it is too far away to jump to. I fall just short every time. Is there a trick to this jump?

How do you get to the last toolbox that is in the background near the entrance to the factory? I read that you have to get a key in the factory but i found no key. Do i have to start the game over again cause i messed up? PLEASE HELP
