Firstly, Congradulations on getting this far into the game. I hope you learn everything
you need to know. First, your going to need to know what Pairing a horse means. For this,
I strongly reccomend going into your house (in your ds) and choosing library. Then go
through the book list until you get to "Pairing a horse with a mare". Please read it. Then
go and talk to Luc (if not done so already).
Now you have read the book, you'll have found out that you need to get your horse to 60%
skills. This is a place where most players get stuck. But not to worry! This tutorial will
tell you how to do it. You will need to have most of the training tracks for all the
disaplines, and have to have at least four stars in care, because if you don't want to
stop, the care will go down. Now, you can start on any of the three disaplines, Resist
(Cross Country), Jump (Show Jumping) or Skill (Dressage).
I always start on Dressage, because you only have to complete the 3 tracks once. This will
get your "skill" stars to fill to at least 2 and a half stars. I strongly reccomend taking
a break at this time, and groom/wash the horse and clean out the stall.
Now you should start doing Show Jumping. Do every training track once. Now your Jump stars
will have filled out to at least 2 and a half stars in Jump. As with before, you'll need
to wash/groom your horse, and clean out the stall. Now the care stars should be above one
star.
Now you have around 40% of the skills done. This is the part that I normally wait for. You
need to do each track once (the forest and shop tracks don't need to be done). This
(should) bring your horse to over 2 and a half stars in resist. Congrats! You have gotten
about 58% of the skills done. Now make sure the care stars are above 2 and a half stars
(if not, just wash/groom and clean the stall). If their above 2 and a half sars then you
have sucessfully gotten the horse to 60% total skills.
Now you need to go to Lucs. Talk to him, and then choose a mare. Make sure the mare looks
different to your horse (eg, your horse is piebald, choose the mare thats bay). Now you'll
have a new foal! This foal will be faster then the normal foals, and it will be better at
competitions.

Note: If you cannot pair with the mare even after you have done the above, train a bit
more or participate in a competition in each skill.
