Hope this helps as far as moves im sure u can figure out what to teach them
1. Level 50+ (if beginner)
2. Large variety of Pokemon types
3. No HMs on any pokemon (except for Surf)
I beat if with this team (not for beginners):
Level 47 Staraptor
Level 48 Garchomp
Level 49 Empoleon
Level 47 Drifblim
Level 45 Rapidash
Level 40 Roserade
Believe it or not, the elite four is easy. Use type advantage and you will be fine. Roserade's didn't win a single battle in victory road so it is a bad example of what level you should be. However, if you are really professional in pokemon games/battles, level 40 is fine for you. Items are a good idea too. Get plenty of them.
Hope this helps!
