lol!! i feel awesome. i started wiv a shny totodile! i also have shiny slowpoke, unown, ampharos, magnamie and even ho-oh!!!! steven stone also gave me a shiny torchic! dont ask me how dis happened it woz just supa lucky!! my friend has soulsilver and found groudon shiny. i did not use action replay. i migrated da slowpoke from leafgreen though, but it was still shiny.

There is one problem to that solution. the chances of getting a shiny pokemon is 1 in 8192 which is 0.0122% out of 100%. So I would recommend to get an action replay or what I got which is a DS SDHC card. It has built in cheats for some pokemon games
