Secret - How to get shiny pokemon
by LamePikachu Nov 08, 2010
There are 3 ways to to get shiny pokemon Way one: This way is called soft resetting. You simply just reset your game until your starter is shiny. Way two: In this way you need a pokeradar. step one:use your pokeradar and find a pokemon (if the grass patch is sparkley the pokemon is more rare). Step two:Use your pokeradar again but make sure the patch is atleast 20/30 patches away. Step three:keep doing this until you find the shiny version of this pokemon Way three:The truth is, the third way is by luck. |

There is no pokeradar in Heart Gold, but there is one on the pokewalker, but the pokewalker chance of getting a shiny is pretty rare.

But you can go on Platinum, Pearl or Diamond (do they have Pokeradars?) and use the Pokeradar to find one. The sparkles coming out of a tall grass patch means there is a shiny there. XD I haven't played the game but I saw some videos of people using it XD (again)

re: 2nd.
That isn't all correct. The full method is much more complicated.

My friend told me that the way to tell that you have ashiny pokemon is that the pokemons' color is lighter than usual.

Not always lighter, just different. If you are unsure, bulbapedia is a good place to check.
One example of one that isn't lighter is Charizard. Charmander and Charmeleon are yellow, but Charizard is black and red.

Red Gyaridos IS shiney. It is the only guaranteed shiney in any game.

That is true but sometimes if the pokemon is already light is will be darker or a different color.

I believe you but it''s a cheated shiny one because Team Galatic made it that way. An easy way to cath it is with a great ball.

Actually, it is not because of Team Galactic, or any team. Team Galactic isn't in SS/HG/S/G/C

the only way I know if it's a shiny is that when the wild pokemon does it's cry, it does this weird shiny circle thing after it.

That will work, but if you aren't paying attention you might miss it. Usually shinies are different enough in colour to be easily spotted. They aren't hard to spot at all, just hard to find.

Als oum another way to tell if it's shiny is that if you have two of the same pokemon, same sex, and one of them has a green tail and the othr one has a blue. So it can have a different color.

Yes I known it's shiny and rare. Happy 2011 to all

That would only apply to pokemon with green/blue tails.
