You could try the Beat Red 20 Times method, but if you are nowhere near Red in the game
you will have to trade the Riolu egg from Diamond, Pearl or Platinum, hatch the egg, then
make Riolu happy.

I really don't think you can go to Sinnoh, it says nothing about it on Serebii.net. Unless
you could somehow download it to HG/SS in the DSI in the future.

I traded riolu from diamond. Then give him a soothe bell. (You can find one in the
national park.) After that walk with it a lot and dont let it die>

I got my riolu from a friend and now its a lucario, but Im pretty sure those other
methods will work.

You go to the place called Iron Island and have a pokeball and an empty slot and bam riolu
egg is on platnium!!
