Note: All information in this cheat goes to Seribii.net and Bulbapedia (I forgot to put
this in the Soul Silver Version of this cheat. It is put here too for easy access, and
it's not like the Gym Leaders are any different in both versions.)
Mareep ~ On Route 32, you can find Lv.6 Mareeps. Raise its level up to Lv.10 and it will
learn Thundershock, which is good against Falkner and the trainers in his gym.
You have two options here. You can take the middle path and battle both trainers or you
can take the path of glass and go straight ahead to Falkner.
Bird Keeper (Shta)
Bird Keeper (Tsubasa)
"I'm Falkner, The Violet Pokmon Gym leader! People say you can clip flying-type Pokmon's
wings with a jolt of electricity... I won't allow such insults to bird Pokmon! I'll show
you the real power of the magnificent bird Pokmon!"
Falkner, The Trainer of Flying Pokemon:
Keen Eye ~ Prevents the Pokemon from losing accuracy
Review: Tackle is his Pidgey's only damaging move. You should survive several hits from it if you
raised your Pokemon pretty well. Sand Attack is probably its most annoying move. It lowers
your Pokemon's Accuracy, so the more it uses it on you, the less the chance your moves
will hit it.
Keen Eye ~ The Pokemon's Accuracy won't get reduced
Review: Pidgeotto can be a contender with its high level and moves. Its Tackle will be a little
more powerful than Pidgey's. Gust is slightly weaker, but would destroy any Bug Type
Pokemon you have, if you do have one on your team. Now, Roost will restore half of its HP,
so....you want to get strong moves in on this Pokemon so you won't find yourself attacking
and Pidgeotto using Roost over and over again.
~Falkner's Pidgeotto is under leveled. They don't evolve until Lv.18!
"Very protective of its sprawling territory, this Pokmon will fiercely peck at any
~The above line is taken from Pokemon Red & Blue's Pokedex Entry. It states Pidgeotto will
"peck any intruder" however it can't learn Peck in any way.
~Falkner has the lowest Level Pokemon out of all of the Gym Leaders, everywhere.
Badge: Zephyr Badge
If you don't know what "Zephyr" means, it has something to do with the wind.
~Traded Pokemon up to Lv.20 will obey you
~You can now use rock Smash outside of battle
~You obtain a TM 51 which teaches a Pokemon "Roost"
(Falkner's Old Sprite)
