Use any Move that is a Psychic, Dark, or Ghost Type.
Hoothoot and Noctowl can learn quite a few Psychic Type Moves. They also are not affected
by Ghost Type Moves, while all of the Pokemon in the following gym are all partly Ghost
Type. You can find Hoothoot at Route 36 and 37.
Lv.20------->
Also, Drowzee can be found on Route 35. It can learn some Psychic Type Moves also.
Hey, welcome to the darkness of the Eruteak Gym. Navigate through this maze, in darkness.
You need to battle some or maybe all of the trainers you find while walking around this
maze of darkness. Also, if you walk off of the maze, you must go back to the beginning of
the maze and go through it again.

At the end of the maze is Morty....surrounded by two candles.
"Good of you to have come. Here, in Ecruteak, Pokmon have been revered. It's said that a
rainbow-colored Pokmon will come down to appear before a truly powerful trainer. I
believed that tale, so I have secretly trained here all my life. As a result, I can now
see what others cannot. Just a bit more... With a little more, I could see a future in
which I meet the Pokmon of rainbow colors. You're going to help me reach that level!"
Morty, Trainer of the Un-defying Darkness:
Gastly:
Level:
21
Type:
Ghost|Poison
Ability:
Levitate ~ this Pokemon is unaffected by Ground Type Moves
Moves:
Lick
Spite
Mean Look
Curse
Review:
This Pokemon can easily be taken out. one reason is because it has low Defense. Anyway, on
to its moves. Lick does (decent) damage to the opponent with its base power being 30. Mean
Look will not allow the Pokemon it is using it on from switching out (escaping). Spite
will take away some PP from the last move the opponent used. Finally, Curse will take away
half of the user's HP and put a "Curse" on the opponent Pokemon. This will cause that
"Cursed" Pokemon to lose 1 4th of HP in the next turn.
Haunter:
Level:
21
Type:
Ghost|Poison
Ability:
Levitate ~ This Pokemon is unaffected by Ground Type Moves
Moves:
Hypnosis
Dream Eater
Curse
Nightmare
Review:
This Haunter shouldn't be a Haunter! (Check the "Fun Facts" section of this cheat) It
knows Hypnosis, which will make a Pokemon get the Sleep condition. This sets up its "plan"
to defeat you. If it can't get Hypnosis to hit you, it's only damaging move would be
Curse. Now, if your Pokemon does get hit with it, you'll be in trouble. Nightmare will
cause damage to the sleeping Pokemon (you). Dream Eater is basically like Grass Type Moves
like Absorb and Giga Drain. The user will restore HP equal to half of the amount Dream
Eater does to the sleeping Pokemon.
Haunter:
Level:
23
Type:
Ghost|Poison
Ability:
Levitate ~ The Pokemon is un-affected by Ground Type Moves
Moves:
Curse
Mean Look
Sucker Punch
Night Shade
Review:
Oh, another Haunter. It can't be any different than the last one, right Well, not exactly.
This Pokemon doesn't base its moves on Sleeping Type Pokemon like the last Haunter. Night
shade will do damage equal to the user's level, so its damage will be 23. Sucker Punch
will only work if you use an Attacking Move on the same turn as Haunter will use Sucker
Punch, and it'll allow Haunter to go first using Sucker Punch. Curse again will take away
half of the user's HP and put a "Curse" on the opponent Pokemon. This will cause that
"Cursed" Pokemon to lose 1 4th of HP in the next turn. Finally Mean Look will prevent the
Pokemon is affected by it from escaping.
(Night Shade)
Gengar:
Level:
25
Type:
Ghost|Poison
Item:
Sitrus Berry
Ability:
Levitate ~ The Pokemon is un-affected by Ground Type Moves
Moves:
Hypnosis
Shadow Ball
Mean Look
Sucker Punch
Review:
Gengar has Hypnosis as one of its moves. As you know (if you read this carefully) it makes
the target Pokemon get the "Sleep" condition, leaving a few turns for Gengar to attack
your Pokemon several times. Mean Look will prevent your Pokemon from escaping it and
Sucker Punch will only work if you make your Pokemon use an Attacking move on the same
turn Sucker Punch will be used by Gengar. Finally, the strongest move Gengar has is Shadow
Ball which has a base power of 80. It may lower the Target's Pokemon Special Defense.
Also, remember that Gengar has a Sitrus Berry.
