These are the 16 available Starters that will be decided by the personality quiz you take
at the beginning of the game: 

Bulbasaur, Charmander, Squirtle, Pikachu, Meowth, Chikorita, Cyndaquil, Tododile, Treecko,
Torchic, Mudkip, Skitty, Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup, Munchlax.

Didn't see a few Pokemon that were available in the first version? Sorry but Cubone,
Eevee, Machop, and Pysduck have been replaced by Turtwig, Chimchar, Piplup and Munchlax
and will not be returning in the second version. There are also rumors that Riolu is 1 of
the new available starters. I'm not entirely sure if it is or not, but I don't think so.
Like the first version, you are able to select which Partner Pokemon you get. However, if
your Starter Pokemon is Pikachu, Skitty, Meowth or Munchlax, then your Partner will be
chosen randomly. Also, your partner can't be the same type as yourself.

Example: If my Pokemon was a Torchic, then my partners couldn't be Chimchar, Cyndaquil or
Charmander, because they are fire type like me.
