Special Thanks _______________________ \ 0 - Introduction |---------------------------------------------------- _______________________/ 0.1 - Basic Controls ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- First, I shall go through the game's controls for use in a dungeon. ___ ___ [_L_] & [_R_] L trigger & R trigger at the same time - Throw set item. ^ Control pad - Move character/cursor. v (A) A button - Execute command, talk to character, use regular attack. (B) B button - Cancel, hold down & move to run. (X) X button - Open Menu. (Y) Y button - Display grid & change the way you're facing. ___ [_L_] Left trigger - Hold & Press (A) to use your set move. - Hold & Bress (B) to check the message log. ___ [_R_] Right trigger - Move diagonally, sort moves on menu. - Start - Start button - Diagonal grid. - Select - Set move, display map. ___________________________ 0.2 - Boss Restrictions ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- There is one restriction when fighting a boss, this restriction is the inability to use orbs. You are not allowed to use orbs during a boss fight, trying to will use your turn. ___________________________ 0.3 - Boss Tactics ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here are some tactics you may want to consider when fighting a boss. -Remember to link most of your moves together, this will deal more damage, but the moves delink when one of the linked moves runs out of PP, so be sure to bring a good supply of Max Elixers, which restor all PP of very move you have. -Seeds such as "sleep seed," which puts an enemy to sleep, "Stun seed," which stuns an enemy untill hit & even "Doom seed," which lowers the foe's level by one, can be helpful when fighting bosses. Study the sittuation & use whatever seed works best. Just don't forget to face the foe directly & the THROW the seed, if you eat it, the condition will affect YOU instead. -Don't forget to bring a load of Reviver seeds, as they revive you when you faint, sell off the plain seeds they turn into for 1 poke, it's not much, but money is money, eh? -Berries can be helpful for special conditions, these rarely come up during boss fights, but Oran berries heal 100HP, use them to try to minimise the use of Reviver seeds, as they are somewhat rare. -Don't go using a Max elixr when you're about to/have just entered a boss fight, when you enter a boss fight, you health & PP is restored as it counts as a different area to the dungeon. ___________________________ 0.4 - Monster Houses ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Monster Houses are rooms where, when entered, loads of foes suddenly drop down & the message log says "It's a Monster House!". These can be frustrating, so there are solutions. If you are not in the room with the stairs, simply eat a Pure seed, which takes you to the stairs. If you are in the room with the stairs, use a Petrify orb or Foe-hold orb to stun the room, now either walk trhough quietly or smash them to bits. Also, consider 'room-range' attacks such as "Heat Wave," "Roar of Time" & "Vaccuum Cut" to smash all the foes to peices. ___________________________ ____________________________ \ 1 - Pre-Ending Bosses |----------------------------------------------- ____________________________/ 1.1 - Beach Cave - Koffing & Zubat (only appears on first visit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make your way through Beach Cave untill you reach the 5th floor. Now you will meet Kofing & Zubat, your partner, shaking, tells them to give back the Relic Stone & then, after a few insults to your partner, you begin the fight. Now, you don't get the chance to link your moves bfore the dungeon, but being the first boss, this won't be hard. Simply throw an amo item at one of them untill they get into attack range. Now use Scratch, Tackle, or whatever your first offensive move is untill the fight is over. Congratulations, you just defeated the first boss! ___________________________ 1.2 - Mt. Bristle - Drowzee (only appears on first visit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now you've had a chance to link your moves before the dungeon, take Max Elixers along the way. After Drowsee finishes bullying Azuril, your team comes along, Drowzee sees that you are an exploration team & gets scared. He then sees your partner shaking & his fear washes away after he realises that your a new team. To start off the fight, use an iron thorn or something on drowzee, beware of his psychic attacks, as they can be painful. Just kep using your linked moves, with a few helful seeds every so often, & you'll crush him in no time. Note: Drowzee's ability prevents sleeping, sleep seeds are useless. Now you've arrested your first outlaw! Congratulations! Now you get a rather large sum of money for doing th job... Sadly, the guild takes 10%, leaving you with hardly anything. ___________________________ 1.3 - Steam Cave - Groudon Illusion (only on first visit, when you return after the staff roll, Uxie will be there who recruits automatically) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Hopefully, you didn't become a Pikachu at the beginning of the game, otherwise, this could be hard. Now, make sure your moves are linked, if you're a grass or water type, this fight should be a breeze. Simply give him everything you've got, just make sure you have some good supplies. The ironic part to this fight is that it turns out that you were fighting a mirrage. Uxie will appear & take you to the treasure - A Time Gear! Your expedition was a failure... or was it? That's for you to decide. ___________________________ 1.4 - Amp Plains - Luxray Tribe (Only on first visit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Look at all of those Luxio, and that Luxray in the middle looks mighty hungry! Make sure you have an room-range move such as "Vaccuum Cut" or "Heatwave," because if you don't, this will take you ages to get past! ___________________________ 1.5 - Quicksand Cave - Mesprit (Recruits automatically after staff roll) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mesprit is nothing special, she's pretty much a normal foe with loads of health. If you've linked your moves, it should only take about one or two attacks, depending on how many moves you've linked & their power, before she falls. The other two, Azelf & Uxie, are the same. This fight renderes her weak, which is a pretty bad thing when Grovyle comes, knocks her out of the way & takes the time gear. Look out, he might just shove you! ___________________________ 1.6 - Crystal Crossing - Grovyle (only on first visit, when you return after the staff roll, Azelf will be there who recruits automatically) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Grovyle is brutally beating up Azelf, he prepares to take the Time gear, but this is when you come in! This is it, the fight against the game's villain... Or is it? Grovyle is no pushover, his attacks are immense, being level 47. Make sure you've brought some awsome supplies, otherwise this could turn out ugly. Restrict Grovyle from attacking as much as possible, or else he'll give you a beating & a wedgie, stay sharp & hit him with everything you've got! Stay ahead of the game, or it's game over for you! Grovyle is about to take the time gear, Azelf activates a defense system, rendering it impossible to take the time gear, but I can't remember if this is before or after the fight. Grovyle is about to put an end to you, & then, to get to the time gear, he must kill Azelf. When all looks grim, Dusknoir comes to save the day! But don't get too thankful, you're not seriously going to trust a spirit from the underworld are you? (or in this case, underworld in the future) ___________________________ 1.7 - Future, Sealed Ruins - Spiritomb (cannot be revisited) ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- See, I told you not to trust Dusknoir, I hate to say I told you so, but, I told you so! Now, grovyle seems pretty tough, but he just got defeated by the strange stone on the ground, which, might I add, is extremely weak. Nothing much to say, really, one thousand & one spirits to fight, & yet, they must all be really weak, seeings as they all for the weakest solo boss in the game. Give him a few hits of your linked moves & it'll be over in two seconds (not guarentied). Now you must move on to find Celebi! -Insert- You've come to the dimension hole, Celebi is about to warp you back to yuor own time, but Dusknoir ambushes you! Not only that, but it's impossible to travel through time before they arrive as Primal Dialga is here too! Everyone's closing in, all looks grim... I know what's running through your head, something like "get on with it, I want to fight the boss, already!" or "Umm... Boss time!" Well, prepare yourself for... A failed trip through time that manages to get you out of circle of enemies! No boss for you, not yet, anyway! ___________________________ 1.8 - Brine Cave - Kabutops, Omastar & Omastar (Only on first visit) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- "They're behind you!" "No, they're above you!" "Teronimo!" See, Chatot is much tougher than he looks, he just took a beating from this trio to save you! They're not too hard, the two Omastar are about as tough as normal foes, take care of them & then take down the leader, Kabutops, if you are defeated here, you're probably at an insainly low level. Onwards to the Hidden Land! ___________________________ 1.9 - Hidden Land - Dusknoir (only on first visit) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is sad, it turns out that when you save the world, you will vannish from exsistance... "Oh my god! I have to fight Dusknoir!" is probably what you're thinking, but don't worry, he's nothing special, just beat up anyone who gets in your way, go with the flow. I'm not going to spoil things, but shed a tear for Grovyle. ___________________________ 1.10 - Temporal Tower - The Last Adventure... (recruits automatically after staff roll) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Temporal Tower is collapsing, hurry up! This setting is perfect for a final showdown! Primal Dialga will clober you with Roar of Time if you're not careful, the solution? Sleep Seeds say everything! Keep chicking sleep seeds at him whenever he has the opertunity to attack, because if he attacks, it's gonna hurt! Bring some Oran Berries & Reviver Seeds, too, you may need them. Just beat him up with your moves linked together (while he's asleep, of course), & you've got him! Shed a tear as you dissapear forever... Your partner is devistated... Months go by, you're partner appears to have gotten over it... He goes down to the beach at sunset to watch the Krabby blow bubbles, but when was the last time he saw this? When your partner realises this, he bursts into tears... Bidoof, who has earned a bit of respect in this game, comes along & asks your partner what the matter is... -Meanwhile- Dialga: "I felt your sorrow, *Partner's name*, if *hero's name* feels the same, then take this as my thanks..." (or something along the lines of that) Your partner shows Bidoof the place where he met you, suddenly, a ball of light appears... YOU'RE BACK! ALIVE & KICKING! What a happy ending... ...The credits roll now, you're glad that you've completed the game! But wait, nobody actually said you've finnished the game... Let's put it this way: So, Temporal Tower begins to collaps... However, you don't know why. They can't leave you thinking about this, can they? Who is the real mastermind behind all of this? Only time will tell... It's now time to uncover the deepest part of the game... ___________________________ \ 2 - Post Game Bosses |------------------------------------------------- ___________________________/ 2.1 - Mystifying Forest - The Guild (First visit only) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This isn't the easiest boss in the game, but it shouldn't be too dificult. So, you're about to fight The Grand Master of all things Bad. Now, it's in the dark, so you can't see, however, Bioof tuns on the lights, chatot yells at him & you find the guild is about to fight you, the guild pretends very badly that they do not know of the Wigglytuff guild. Boss time! This is where things get though, you're completely outnumbered... Time for Heat wave, or something like that, to come in! Just keep battering everyone else & try not to get too beaten up yourself, this isn't exsactly easy, nor is it hard. CONGRATULATIONS! You just graduated! Now you're about to be evicted from your nice litle room. Time to live inside a cliff. ___________________________ 2.2 - Crevice Cave - Froslass (Only on first visit) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Scizor is encased in ice, his body preserved for generations. Froslass is really weak, just given it your all with linked moves, the fight should end in no time. But if you're having trouble, seeds can come in handy. You've thawed Scizor out of the ice, now, & taken him back to Treasure Town. Scizor doesn't know how to thank you, he thinks it all over, he then tells you that he's some VIP of some Explorationg Federation, or something like that. Using his authority, he bestows upon you... The Secret Rank! He refuses to tell you what this is. You & your partner then end up with their faces showing the expresion that means "Er, what just happened?" Congratulations, you can now take special missions (see third section)! ___________________________ 2.3 - Miracle Sea - Gyarados (Only on first visit) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gyarados isn't very tough, you can take him on even if you're a fire-type Pokemon. Now, you've arrived at the bottom of the Miracle Sea, there are several Phionne in the room, as you approach, Gyarados charges in & dictates the Phionne. All this takes is a few swipes with your linked moves, bring a couple of reviver seeds just in case, if you're struggling, use some sleep seeds on him. ___________________________ 2.4 - Aegis Cave - Regice (Easy to recruit, must have beaten him already, though) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- First thing's first, before you can fight Regice, you must go through the Ice Maze of the Aegis Cave & collect the Unown stones I, C & E. Go up to the stone tablet at the beginning & then choose to close your eyes. Regice is pretty easy, he's not an overpowered boss, simply bash him about a bit, but because this dungeon is so strange, you may have accidentally stepped on a PP Zero trap, so no linked moves for you if that's the case, either way, this should still be an easy fight. First off, throw an Unown Stone at Regice, this should do about 90 HP damage, then batter him about. ___________________________ 2.5 - Aegis Cave - Regirock (Easy to recruit, must have beaten him already, though) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- First, go to the stone tablet & close your eyes when you have collected the Unown Stones R, O, C & K. Regirock is the same as Regice; throw Unown Stones until he's in range of attack, bash him about, have passage granted. Continue to the next maze. ___________________________ 2.6 - Aegis Cave - Registeel (Easy to recruit, must have beaten him already, though) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Registeel, being a steel type, is a bit tougher, but still pretty much the same. It's the same process, Unown stone, bash him, go on through. Now that the Mazes are done, you have five floors left, it's time to go on through to the showdown! ___________________________ 2.7 - Deep Aegis Cave - Regigigas!! (Recruits automatically on second victory) ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Take a good look, tell me, is this fair? No, it's not, it's most definitely not a fair fight! Beware of the Bronzong & Hitmonlee, as well as Hitmonlee. But, I hope you paid attention to the tip in the index, because this really makes the tables turn! You have your secret weapon, Dialga! Use Roar of Time to take care of Regigigas's army, keep using Roar of Time, since it's one of the most powerful moves you have, & beat Regigigas up, be warned, I swear that his health is over 1000! Now you have access to a new dungeon, but you don't need to go there, all there is to see there are a few treasure boxes. ___________________________ 2.8 - Sky Rift - Palkia ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Is what Cresselia said true!? The world is beginning to fall into eternal slumber, & the spatial distortion you emit is to blame? What's worse, is you're now being chased by a Deity, Palkia, who controls space, who also wants you dead. Once again, the game gets emotional... Run, hurry, run endlessly through the rift until you reach a dead end, before you can do anything about it, Palkia appears in front of you, talk about slow. Palkia is a lot like Dialga, except when he uses Spatial Rend, he doesn't have to recharge, unlike Dialga's Roar of Time, however, Spatial rend is weaker, but only slightly. Be careful of Palkia, you may be tougher, now, but you're still not much of a match for a god. Make sure your moves are linked & that you have some reviver seeds, because this is gonna be pretty hard, oh wait, I forgot, you probably brought the secret weapon... ...Sleep seeds! You know what to do, stop Palkia from unleashing attacks using the sleep seeds & the pumble him when he's down. This is not enough, Palkia just won't stay down, he's about to put an end to your life, when suddenly, he pauses, a voice emits, it asks you if you want to enter Palkia's dream, meaning he's asleep. When you enter the dream, Cresselia appears & is about to kill you, you then think to yourself, you try to put together the pieces, you tell yourself not to give up hope, just as you think this, a voice emerges from the darkness, "That's right, never give up hope!" it says, as another Cresselia appears & attacks the one trying to kill you. The Cresselia trying to kill you flies back into the wall & transforms into a dark figure, this Pokemon is Darkrai! Darkrai begins to monologue about how all the events in the game were his evil doings, how he wants a world of dusk & darkness, where no wind blows. It turns out that Darkrai can manipulate dreams, which explains why he only appeared as Cresselia in your dreams. Darkrai escapes & challenges you to a final showdown in a hostile place know as the Dark Crater! ___________________________ 2.9 - Dark Crater - The Final Showdown!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is it, the last fight, Cresselia has decided to tag along. When you reach the end, Darkrai explains how he attacked you on your way to the past, causing you to turn into a Pokemon. He tells of how this is the end of the world, he offers for you & your partner to join, your partner takes this offer. You begin to loose hope, wondering why your partner would do this, your partner tells you to join, because if you don't, Darkrai will most likely dispose of you both. You begin to think, this isn't like your partner, this isn't right your partner would never give up hope, this is... This is all a NIGHTMARE!! You attack Darkrai & break free of the dream, Darkrai knows your choice now & prepares to fight! But Darkrai isn't alone, oh no, he has six other minions, the fate of the world depends on you, this is it, the end! Make sure you have reviver seeds, this could get rough, swap places with Cresselia & you all take care of the army, you'll probably finish on your end before you partner, if so, go for Darkrai, or, if your partner isn't doing well, go & assist your partner. Congratulations, you just saved the world for the umpteenth time... Darkrai just doesn't stay down, does he? He opens up a Dimension Hole, he doesn't know when it will lead to, but whenever it takes him, he'll start his plans from scratch. There's no stopping him, when all hope is lost, Palkia comes along & just as Darkrai enters the hole, Palkia blasts him with Spatial Rend! Nobody knows where Darkrai went, however, it turns out that he lost his memory & wonders dungeons aimlessly. After you recruit Dialga & Palkia, & unlock Marine Resort, you may evolve, after this, go to Miracle sea, third floor, using a Secret Slab or mystery Part, look for him & try to recruit him, this is the best dungeon to go to. The next morning, when you wake up, step outside & talk to Cresselia, sh'll then join your team. ___________________________ ___________________________ \ 3 - Wondrmail Bosses |------------------------------------------------- ___________________________/ 3.1 - Sky Stairway - Rayquaza =================================== HW+8 66%T 5S51 +J5Y 4-K# H@P- ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- Make sure to Bring along Giratina, or someone else that knows a move such as Shadow Force, or Fly. This will make thongs a whole lot easier. Rayquaza is prone to using the move, Fly. Once he uses this move, use your Shadow Force, Fly, Dive, or anything like that. He will then come down & miss you, leaving him open to your move. Just keep on doing this until he's taken down. ___________________________ __________________________________________________________________________________________ ______________________________ |====================================================Special=Thanks======================= =============================| |_________________________________________________________________________________________ _____________________________| ****************************************************************************************** ****************************** ****************************************************************************************** ****************************** Moonman190 (Harris Miller) Pointed out spelling errors of which I am yet to correct. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- I hope you found this FAQ useful, if you have any corrections or other tactics, please e-mail me at kinrj002@wsgfl.org.uk, your name will go up into the special thanks section. ****************** *||============||* *|| Thank You! ||* *||============||* ****************** |
