Evolving Pikachu (starter)

Okay, i looked up the FAQs and it said u need a thunderstone to evolve Pikachu into Raichu.Is it refering to a pikachu like a starter or a pikachu as a recruit? Can i just go to Luminous spring and evolve it, instead of using a thunderstone? Cause i have pikachu as hero, and i want it to be a Raichu after finishing the whole storyline.

Unregistered 0	0 awnser well, if your pikachu is a starter, it can't evolve until you've got all the little pictures at the bottom of the screen, same applies for partner, and you also need the thunder stone because when you evolve someone it asks u a question "Do you need an item to evolve?" and have it in ur explorer pack and then u will evolve Posted: jun 19, 2008 7:17 pm Best answer

Unregistered 0	0 This is how you evolve You and your partner To evolve U and your partner what you do is U recruit Palkia (battle it ater credits roll)and beat Darkrai with Cresselia.Then go to luminous spring and evolve your pokemon,if your lets say Pikachu U need a Thunder Stone with U.
