the closest pokemon to EV is eevee which of course only goes to 100. tell them i say they

yeah....ive heard u can get EV items from the battle tower...anyways, lets say I wanted to
train a lvl 1 chimchar....then....what item would I use to get it too a very fast, or very
defensive, or whatever infernape? what are the EV items and how do they exactly work?

Here are the items that can be used to EV train

Macho Brace-Doubles the amount of EVs earned. Ex. Starly gives 1 Speed EV, so that doubles
to 2 EVs
Power Anklet-Adds on 4 EVs to Speed. Ex. Starly gives 1 speed EV, so 1+4=5 EVs

All Power items increase their respective stat by four

Pokerus doubles the EV gained after a battle so here a few examples

Chimchar holding Macho Brace, fighting starly:
Starly gives 1 speed EV. So Macho Brace doubles the EVs to 2. If chimchar has pokerus,
then the EVs double again to 4.

Chimchar holding Power Anklet, fighting starly:
Starly gives 1 speed EV. Power Anklet adds on four, making it 5 EVs. If chimchar has
pokerus, then that doubles to 10 EVs.

For every 4 EVs you get in a stat, the overall stat increases by one point. Each pokemon
can have a total of 510 EVs, but only a maximum of 255 in one stat. So you can spread out
the EVs accordingly. So if you do 255/4=63.75
there is a decimal at the end because 4 only goes into 255, 63 times. The other three EVs
can be used on something else.
Potentially, you can raise a pokemon's stat by 63 points. Although you wont see the
changes immediately, the extra points are there
