Hi and welcome to my guide. This section will cover Eterna City to after the Veilstone
Gym. Here we go!
Head east from Soloceon Town to reach Veilstone City. Here you can battle Maylene for the
third badge. You can choose to explore or pick up some goodies from the Dept. Store. Once
you head over to the Gym, you'll see Rowan's helper there. He/she will say a few things
and move on. Now into that gym!

There are bunch of fighting types here, naturally. Machoke, Medidite, and Machop are the
main pokes here. Not much to work with. The toughest part in solving the wall puzzle. To
put it simple, you just have to push the walls to make new paths. Go through the motions
to open up the two walls blocking Maylene's platform.
Infernape works well against her Lucario and does neutral damage to everything else.
Torterra acts the same as Infernape, but its a bit slower. Empoleon is a risky choice.
Peck or Pluck won't KO most of her pokes in one hit. The added fighting weakness is also a
downside. Use Staravia or Staraptor if they're available. This gym should be a breeze.

After you clear this gym and head outside, you'll see Rowan's helper again. You have to
help him/her battle some Galactic Grunts. Go up to the warehouse and clear the grunts.
Head into the warehouse to pick up HM02 Fly as well. This HM will prove useful as both a
field and battle move. After that you can heal up your pokemon. Head to where you first
entered Veilstone, except this time  take the south exit. You'll have to keep following
this road to Pastoria City.
