I've seen a lot of threads and pre-battle discussions always having something like "no hacks, no legendaries, or open or set lv.100 battles" I'm sure we all agree to follow the same battle rules so I'll re-post them here just so they don't have to be repeated time after time. Feel free to post comments as I may edit these over time so all players can understand the general rules.

General Rules
NO HACKS- Simple enough, no one likes cheating
NO UBERS- Obviously some pokemon are stronger than others like Legendaries that include Mewtwo,
Kyogre, Palkia just for example. So it would be unfair to use them in a fight.

Opinionated Rules
LV.100/50 SET- Some players usually argue to have the battle open or set to Lv.100/50. I usually agree on setting the levels that way its just fair to all players. I would expect competitive players to understand this the most since completely training a pokemon can be done before it reaches lv.100.
ITEM LIMIT- In my experience I've seen some players complain about the use of multiple items. Who wants to see two even three Focus Sash or Leftovers in a battle? I usually limit all my item counts to one per battle.
STAT MODIFIERS- In heavily competitive communities, the general rule about stat modifiers is that players can't effect Accuracy in a battle. This is because using Double Team or other evasivness modifiers even once can make a pokemon almost untouchable. For example a pokemon with Sand Veil, in a Sandstorm, and a held item like Brightpowder mixed with one Double Team can reduce the opponents accuracy to 70% or lower
STATUS CONDITIONS- This one is simple, can't have more than one pokemon on a team Asleep, or Frozen. This is because of the pokemon's inability to battle.

hmm i think the hwole uber/legend thing is bs if you cant manage to catch one thats your failure not mine. why should i use weak pokemon? just cuz someone else is? im not saying for you to change the rules im just saying i will not obey them.also i am anti hack

Remember, these are just general rules that competitive players follow and nobody really has to "obey" them. These rules are just suggestions so people don't always have to state what kind of rules they want before a battle.

status conditions and stat modifiers killed it for my umbreon,if we battle sometime i would follow most of these rules except those two...by the way isnt that battling done in gamefaqs? ive been there and seen those rules....

either you need to make it sound more impartial.-. or admit that you think like that with the whole thing it sound like you beleive ubers are unfair...pretty much the only poke i think people shouldnt use online is darkrai..

It's not that using ubers is unfair. In my final version I posted that these rules are for serious competitive battlers looking for a new experience. I posted the rules and requirements for the competitive metagame, not for everyday battling. So if someone isn't interested in serious competitive battling, then these rules don't need to be followed.
