Secret - Egg hatching routeAt Solaceon town, go on the right-most side of the dirt road. (Still on the dirt road, though) You get on the bike's faster speed and keep going up until you can't, then down until you can't. Repeat until the egg hatches. (Make sure you've beaten all the trainers first) |

Secret - Battle CastleThe Battle Castle is similar to the Battle Tower, just with a few changes. Players must fight seven opponents in a row. Winning allows players to receive Castle Points, which allow them to buy items for use inside the Battle Castle or see future opponents. In the Battle Castle, Pokémon will not be healed automatically after a battle, so this is very challenging to both new and old trainers. |

Secret - Oreburgh Gym-RoarkRoark has stayed pretty much the same since the D/P days. He got a cool animation though. Here are his pokemon's stats. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Eterna Gym-GardeniaUnlike D/P, Platinum totally revamped this gym. It looks cooler but there really is no puzzle here. Just beat the trainers to rotate the clock-hands. You'll eventually end up at where Gardenia is. Here are her pokemon. |
|

Secret - Hearthome Gym-FantinaLike woah! Fantina is no longer the 5th gym like in D/P. She can be directly battled for another badge right after Gym#2. So this makes her the third gym now. She has few weaker pokemon, obviously because of the gym # drop. They also got rid of that stupid math puzzle. They added a cool new match puzzle. Here are Fantina's pokemon. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Veilstone Gym-MayleneInstead of pushing around walls like in D/P, Platinum added a newer puzzle involving punching bags. You need the punch the bags to knock over the tires. When you knock over the one blocking the path to the top, you can battle Maylene. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Pastoria City-Crasher WakeThis gym remained the same from D/P. BORING! Just go through the motions again to get to Wake. He has a cool animation though, but it doesn't make up for the same boring gym. He has some stronger pokemon too. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Canalave City-ByronThis gym has also remained the same from D/P. Byron also has a pretty lame animation. The only upside is that the gym has better steel types. So you won't run into all the Steelix and Bronzor like in D/P. Also the random trainer with the Azumarill in D/P has changed. |
|

Secret - Snowpoint Gym-CandiceAnother same old gym. LAME LAME LAME! Her animation is decent, but not great. At least she has new cooler additions. Hey cool, ice, lol. Yeah bad pun. |

Secret - Battle FrontierHere is a quick description of the new Battle Frontier area. Check my later guides for more in-depth info. This new area is similar to Emerald's Battle Frontier. You will receive battle points to exchange for prizes. There is also an added move tutor area. You can teach some of your pokemon cool moves if you have the BP for it. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Battle TowerThe Battle Tower has remained the same since D/P. Win 7 battles in a row to complete one level. Each consecutive battle gets increasingly difficult. Even seasoned trainers will have a hard time getting through 50 consecutive wins. Like in D/P, the Frontier Brain is Palmer. |
|
paleHorse91 |
Secret - Battle FactoryThe Battle Factory is a recurring battle venue at Sinnoh's Battle Frontier, having basically the same ruling as the Hoenn Battle Frontier's Battle Factory. The player will be able to choose three rental Pokémon of six and battle another trainer with rental Pokémon. This tests your skills to work out of the comfort zone of your own pokemon. You will have to get 7 consecutive wins to receive BP. |

Secret - Battle RouletteBattles in the Battle Roulette are either 3 vs 3 (single) or 4 vs 4 (double). Trainers play roulette before each match. The choice may affect the player's Pokémon, the opponent's or even the field. The roulette may land on status ailments, weather changes, level changes, berries and more. It may even land on nothing. The status ailments appear to be based on moves with certain types, therefore, Steel-types are immune to poison and Ground-types are immune to paralysis. It takes some amount of luck to get through here. To get the most out of your battles, try to have pokemon that can resist ailments or weather effects. |

Secret - Battle StageThe Battle Stage features a series of one on one battles. One Pokémon is entered, and then an opponent is chosen from a list of types. As a Trainer moves up through the facility, the levels go higher, making this the only facility to feature Pokémon above level 50. The game can occasionally throw a curveball, such as if a player chooses to use an Electric-type against their Flying-type opponent-- only to find out that the opponent is using the Ground/Flying Gligar— immune to Electric moves. So you'll have to play smart against types and choose a pokemon who can cover most of them. Electivire, for example, can learn Ice Punch which does 4x damage against Gligar. |

Secret - Historical Pokemon Gaming NewsIn Pokemon Platinum, Fantina is actually the 3rd Gym leader instead of the 5th. You can battle her right away. This has never happened in the history of pokemon. |

Secret - Pal ParkWhen you save at Pal Park you have a choice to migrate pokemon from your GBA games. It allows you to select up to six pokemon from your game. You return back to your game, and then you can enter Pal Park to capture your pokemon. Once you've caught your six pokemon, you can choose between having to recapturing them, or puttung them in the PC. If you put them in the PC you get to keep all six of them. |
