1.choose chimchar at beggining 2.after u get a pokedex,train in grass for 3 mins.(do in every area) 3.cacth a shinx(dont train yet) 4.try to evolve chimchar and teach it mach punch 5.train about 3 min. until monferno lv. 25. 6.when you get cut from cynthia,dont teach monferno cut,cacth another pokemon to teach it too 7.once you have evolved monferno,teach it close combat(dont fight maylene YET) 8.before you fight maylene train shinx for 2-3 min. 9.before you battle wake(or anyone else in their)train shinx too about lv. 30,then fight
