what you have to do is battle gym leaders with pokemon that do understand you. These gyms
should make pokemon of higher levels obey you that you receive in a trade, or are not the
ones you caught. Depending on the gym you battle, it should raise it every other gym. If
you were to get the level 100 shiny milotic, it would not obey you until you have the
beaconbadge, the eighth gym. Which allows pokemon of all levels obey you.

ok in order to be able to have all pokemon obey over level 1 is the you have to have more
than one gym badge.The gym leader will tell you up to a certain level. i hope i helped

pretty much what they all said! i'd suggest you get an A.R., a pokemon pearl, or diamond
and hack it up like crazy on the pearl or diamond... not the platinum. if you get a whole
bunch of legendaries like regis and arceus and stuff, just trade them to platinum for
crappy stuff like a lvl 3 bidoof and when you have all your good pokemon, start a new game
on pearl or diamond! they may not obey you at the time but it would take long for them to
be killed by an enemy pokemon. This was exactly what i did with my hacked up pearl version
and when im finished trading over pokemon, ill start over and hack it up again when the
new games come out. HAVE FUN!

All pokemon caught by you with your same Trainer ID will obey you regardless of level and
current badges. Even if you were to trade a pokemon with your same Trainer ID to another
game, then level it up to lv.100, and then trade it back, it will still obey you even if
you haven't even beaten the first badge yet.

However for pokemon with different Trainer IDs you'll need certain badges. I'll list them
here.

1st or No Badge- Pokemon with same ID, pokemon lv.10 or below

2nd Badge- Pokemon with same ID, pokemon lv.30 or below

3rd Badge- N/A

4th Badge- Pokemon with same ID, pokemon lv.50 or below

5th Badge- N/A

6th Badge- Pokemon with same ID, pokemon lv.70 or below

7th Badge- N/A

8th Badge- All pokemon will obey

I wouldn't hack your games beacause it's a waste of time and fun, there are certain ppl in
the game, (who aren't real) who can trade with you. And I agree with pale horse, because
it is good info for all the pkmn games. I know if you get a high level pokemon in dimond
or pearl you should wait to put it on platinum when you REALLY need it.

I was having real trouble getting my pokemon to obey, I thought it very strange that as
soon as my pokemon leveled up to lv11 they stopped obeying me and ignored me most of the
time!
I only just started the game then, so I did'nt have any gym badges

Same thing happen to me!

yep I spent weeks breeding my favourite pokemon and then leveling them up to level 20. I
trained my starter pokemon and then just got my desired pokemon to that level as I didnt
want to make the game easy for myself, i just wanted a party of pokemon I really liked.
But when I traded them over they dissobey me completely! they turn away or pretend not to
hear, but i traded a level 1 eevee over (I have 1 badge) and it listens fine. im at eterna
forest now so Ill let you know if the 2nd badge solves my problem :)

ps. I found it really wierd at first, it was night and all my traded pokemon ignored me
except my hoothoot blinky. But in the daylight it acts like the others and ignored me?

Yes I got the second badge and now they all listen to me fine. if you check the manual
where the gym leader bit is itl tell you what badge supports what level of trained
pokemon. Its nothing to do with them not liking you because my pichu listens yet won't
evolve yet. : )

if youre stuck keep training with another then do a gym and if its the righ one you traded
will obey you

i never had a pokemon disobey me. My strongest pokemon is a level 73, my girantina. ALWAYS
DO THE GYMS!!!!!!!!!

My brother has a traded level 63 Torterra (named Twige...?) It obeys him when it uses leaf
storm even though he only has 4 badges. All his other move get Twige to either ignore, use
another move, or sleep. what's up with that!?!

well i traded a lv 19 to my account i was on most of the time and then it wouldn obey me
even though my main pokemon was level 23 could someone explain that to me?

well i just figured out that if you get lets say a growlith and have 1 badge and u evolve
it then you have arcanine which in fact you have NEVER traded so therefore it will obey
you like if u never traided..i just figured that out
so im doing that with totodile and dratini :)
