Maylene is the Fighting-type Gym Leader of the Sinnoh Region. She is a rock hard fighter,
who doesn't get how she is a Gym Leader. Her Fighting-type Pokemon may or may not be a
challenge, depending on your advantages.

 Gym Review: 
  Her Gym is slightly confusing, but you can get the hang of it. Basically, several Black
Belt trainers await you in their own personal fighting rings, but to get to each one, you
must punch some punching bags in the correct directions. Eventually, you will get to
Maylene.

First, she'll send out Medetite.

  Medetite may look weak, but it's Attack is very high, due to it's ability; Pure Power.
Since 3/4 of its moves are Physical, Medetite has a strong chance of knocking you out
pretty fast. Drain Punch isn't the strongest of moves, but with the doubling of its power
by Pure Power, it'll pack a big punch (hehe...). This will also restore energy to the
user.
Next will be her Machoke.

 Don't lay a status effect on Machoke, or his Attack will double.

  Machoke is pretty strong. So use the right moves against him. Watch out, for it may use
Focus Energy, which will increase his chance of landing a critical hit on you. It has some
other pretty strong attacks, so, just be careful and use the right moves.
Lastly, she'll send out her powerhouse; Lucario.

 Each time Lucario flinches, his speed will increase.

  Lucario is Maylene's powerhouse. She probably depends on him the most. With his half
Steel nature, Flying or Psychic attacks won't have much use on him. So, get a little fancy
with him: try using Ground, Fire, or Fighting attacks. Lucario has a great arsenal of
attacks. Drain Punch will do the same as Medetite, and Force Palm may paralyze you. Metal
Claw is a typical Steel-Type move, and of course Lucario has to know this move. Bone Rush
is a little odd though. Although it is normal for any Lucario to learn it, I still think
it's a little weird. If it hits you 5 times, you're probably done for. And be prepared to
get annoyed when he heals himself with his Sitrus Berry.

  Hitmontop is my second favorite Fighting-Type Pokemon. Weak, but my favorite. His
strongest move is Aerial Ace, but can be Triple Kick as well. It will probably use Fake
Out first, so just be prepared. Simple Flying or Psychic moves should do the trick.

 When you use Physical attacks on her, you may become paralyzed, poisoned, or fall asleep.

  A typical Breloom. If you have a problem defeating her Breloom, there's something wrong.
If you want to use a Flying-Type Pokemon, make sure it is fast, as it will probably be
easily defeat from Stone Edge.

  Machamp is strong. With four strong Physical attacks in his arsenal, you'd better watch
