Secret - Quick In-game Reset
by Godfrey97 Mar 30, 2010
Maybe you've just saved the game and want to get back to the Main Menu but you want to do it quicker and not restart your whole DS, then you can just press L, R, START and SELECT all at the same time and you will see the amazing Lugia's face as you're at the main menu! Need any help on Pokemon send me a message as I have quite a lot of experience in the 4th Gen games and a bit in the 3rd. Happy gaming! ~Godfrey97 |

Umm, sorry, but didn't you aleady know that That has been around for a while, since diamond and pearl, actually. I already new that, but I give you a thumbs up for posting that for this game and new confused users. Ya know what, I already used that on my game before I read that, too. It's good for putting pokemon in the PC and not having to turn your DSi back to the main menu a lot.

Yeah seriously, I actually learned that from this very spot on cheatsguru except on the diamond game a long time ago. Ok so here's a question for ya if you know so much- How do I do this cheat if my DSi's R button is busted I tried going in the PC boxes and moving around but I can only do it with the L button!!! I hope you can answer this cuz I really like having the R button there!! If I press the R button . . . nothing happens like literally nothing happens in the PC boxes. I tried moving my finger around on it so then maybe a different point on it but it didn't WORK EITHER

Erm probably weaken him down with a water type pokemon that is a few levels lower then bring out a high level pokemon (lv.80-90) that knows yawn and make it go to sleep and then use loads of ultra balls, or just make it easy and use a master ball

I wouldn't do that if I were you. A lot of people told me that when I was catching Ho-Oh and it didn't work. I weakened it down, yes with water moves but I had my level 65 Lugia do that since Ho-Oh is level 70 and once it was @ low HP I threw 25 great balls at it and I eventually caught it. I wouldn't try ultra balls because they don't work all that great on legendary pokemon and I personally think that great balls are better. If you don't like what I just told you then wait until night and throw dusk balls at it which work a lot better than ultra or great balls.

Yeah Silver is right, except I kinda disagree about the Great Ball thing, I caught ALL my Legendaries with either an Ultra Ball or Master Ball. But I did use a Dusk Ball on Giratina on Platinum so use the Dusk Ball. OR use a Heavy Ball. If the Pokemon is over 300lb it gives 30x more chance of catching it, but I dunno how heavy Ho-oh is..

Nice!! I can't STAND ultra balls, they just never seemed to agree with me but for most legendary pokemon this is what I do and I'll give a reason why, and yes in order:
~quick ball (caught uxie in one, one throw that's all it took along with entei in SS)
~weaken it down a little bit
~normally at this point it's either very low or somewhere near there so if it's at night I throw dusk balls (or if I feel like it ultra, I don't LIKE using them but they're somewhat decent :/ ) or if it's in the day time I'll throw dusk balls at it
~sometimes if I have the right pokemon with me I'll use status problems on it for exp. sleep powder works most of the time and when I'm training pokemon most grass pokemon know it so that works
~if I don't have a pokemon knowing a status problem move I'll chuck great balls at it 'til I catch it
That's basically what I do but yeah for Groudon (even though it's kinda insulting) I WOULD USE HEAVY BALLS!! I DIDN'T HAVE ANY AT THE TIME CUZ KURT WAS WORKING ON THEM BUT I WOULD!! Anyway, I've found this method to work for me, most of the time mew2's an exception, you don't need to use this at all but I know if you wanna try it out then you CAN.
Another thing I wanna say is that if it's in a cave, use only dusk balls on it, cuz it's so pointless to use ultra balls or great balls in a cave. Nightime in a cave is better for catching these pokememon incase if you were wondering
